I had the opportunity to interact with Prof Nagarajan and Kamala madam at IITM CSE in the early 90s. was caught by him running in the corridor. He is a stalwart.

These skyscrapers as hostels are nothing but jail cells for students. I hope they won't destroy the current structure/formation of Ganga and Krishna hostels. A part of me still resides in the courtyards and large rooms of Krishna/Ganga hostels ❤

Saw the video only now! I had the privilege of being a student of Prof R Srinivasan at IIT Madras during 1974-76. Great teacher who could explain any subject in Physics - Quantum Mechanics to Cryogenics with a chalk and board. Still recall with admiration how using equations in Quantum Mechanics he theoretically arrived at the atomic number of Hydrogen = 1! Pranamam!

Very inspiring...❤...Stressed the importance of breaking conservatism which is very valuable...Today most of the staff are nudged ,in many colleges to focus on publications rather than on student development...The advent of NAAC and NBA made some things better but are leading teachers to adapt questionable means to satisfy the imposed norms to survive...the paper work reported and the practical work has little correlation ...It is very refreshing to see Professor Ashok Contribute so much while stressing the role of students in his achievements...The way he threw light on the labs here and the west needs to be pondered on...Even today, the labs are exactly as he described in most colleges...We need teacher training institutes for engineering staff and attractive remuneration...It is noteworthy that 70% of MTech seats lay vacant and many colleges are shutting down mtech courses...
