@sophiebride-gq8fn I played it through midi so it triggers the M1 sound on the computer. Unfortunately with the Roland you can't add samples, but I've just changed it for a nord.......the first sample I've added is the M1🎹 😁

@andreww2818 interesting, not heard that track before. I wonder if it was just a popular sample around at that time, or might have been a synth preset. Either way, they definitely got their money's worth out of it on that track 👍🏻🎹😀

@jonasscheldt6768 good morning Jonas, I didn't use any strings just a couple of pianos detuned I seem to remember. This gave it that bar piano sound. The other hiss sound is a reversed hi hat I think. 👍🏻

I'm not entirely sure what the name of the chords are as I do it from ear. If you slow the video down to half speed, that may help show what keys I'm using 👍🏻😃

Boogie woogie is another level 🙈 I keep trying to learn the left hand part to Boogie woogie stomp.......... it's not going well 😂 All the best with it, it's a great style of music to just jump on a pub piano and start playing. There's a piano in my local, I'd love to play that song. 👍🏻😁

Nice one, what keyboard did you get? I've not heard that track before, it starts off a bit Giorgio Moroder with the sawtooth bass line. I'm not sure it'd work that well with piano part, there's not much of it. I'll have a mess about and see what it sounds like 👍🏻

Thank you, much appreciated. There's a lot of choice out there around the £500 to £700 mark, and if you get something second hand you'd probably pick something up for around £250. I've got an old Korg PS60, it's a great portable piece of kit and the sounds are really good, it's dead handy for using with a set of headphones to keep it more transportable. I'd say the only downside in this price range may be having to menu dive to adjust settings. If money is no object and it's something you want to remain static there's tonnes of amazing stand alone synths (more analogue sliders and dials) Moog, Prophet.... etc Korg do a M20 which uses patch cables (probably not ideal for a beginner) If you want the best of both worlds, real instrument sounds and synth sounds, probably something like a Roland Juno would be ideal 👌🏻
