Mon Irwin faisait de même. Il vient de nous quitter après 14,5 années de sa présence. Il nous manque car il était notre équilibre. Il était super avec tout le monde sauf les chats. Il repose en paix maintenant

My weimaraners do that for fun, not to hunt. When they follow a scent trail they point when they spot their prey. Both from working parents so done on pure instinct. I don't hunt but very glad they are not killers. I just praise them a lot for finding a creature. They are bred to find prey for the gunners to shoot. Wendy

Mine used to love stalking Butterflys - never caught any. Lots of exercise though.
Even if they don't catch their prey, they still enjoy scaring the living daylights out of it :-D. My boy does exactly the same.

...too bad about the hunting. There are roughly 350+ dog breeds. If you're not going to hunt, why pick a dog breed whose natural predisposition - which was developed for centuries - is to hunt? I know...you like the color. ?!?

truthfilter Yes, that is true. They have lot’s of energy and have the need to get it out. Otherwise they will be a pain in the @ss. 😉
It true you need to let them run, I got mine 2 months ago, and I run her. she chases a tennis ball till she tires out then we take a walk to cool down.
