I wasn't thinking about it *continuously* for those 2 weeks, but the brain that God gave me *likes* to ponder puzzles, usually on a 'back burner' of my brain. I used to fear God, but no longer, I trust God will do *exactly* what He wills. I love scripture, and have recently found a church I enjoy too, but I have much baggage around the Bible, growing up in an End Times church that knew Jesus would return by 1990. Anyway, may God's love overwhelm you!

What does Acts 16:3 mean, then? "Him would Paul have to go forth with him; and took and circumcised him because of the [God's chosen people] which were in those quarters: for they knew all that his father was a Greek." KJV "Him would Paul have go forth with him, and took [him and] circumcised him on account of the [God's chosen people] who were in those places, for they all knew his father that he was a Greek." Darby I don't know any other way to read this verse, other than Paul desperately wanted Tim accepted, and did something just for that purpose. But, I'm very interested in your take on it. Perhaps I do have it "way wrong". What's the right meaning of Paul actions here?

@godgetti Hey, Chris, it's really good to read and understand what Calvin truly believed. So many folks make statements about his theolagy without ever reading him. I don't agree with everything Cavin taught, but I do agree with much of it. He truly has helped me in my pursuit of biblical truth.

Good question, Mac, and I too love him either way. What's interesting is his sister (Harpy) seems to the one that starts it about 1/3 of the time, but she always eventually runs away, and he eventually decides he likes her again.

@ I like to imagine that they have developed deep, textured stories together, so that for them, each conflict is like a dance; nuanced communication nested in feline (what other kind could it be?) affection.

I don't mind that others have free speech to educate about their feelings and beliefs around this tricky issue, in fact, I'm grateful our country allows such healthy debate. I don't think I am encouraging grown-ups to be irresponsible. Instead, I'm encouraging them to read the Bible for themselves, and I'm talking about how I personally believe it is wrong to ever kill children. Yet, I can't get pregnant, so I'm a bit removed from actually experiencing ever being pregnant. So, speaking as a voting citizen, and as a grandpa, I'd vote to leave the choice up to a women, and the morality of it would be between her and God, and I'd give that same advice to my granddaughter. I'd want her to know what I've said in this video, it's really for her, and those like her. I thought the tree's roots there in the center were "in the bedrock" and when the tree fell over during the high winds some of the bedrock was broken away and retained by the roots. That's what it looked liked happened to me, and I thought it was worthy of sharing. But, Respect and Peace to you!

Mac! Your support (attention? exchanges?) means a lot to me! I've been thinking a lot about The Wizard of Oz, and how if Munkins are going to have a Free-ish Will, there would be many Wizards in town, all claiming to know the way Home, and that's just how it would have to be, but in a hard to hold onto way, like I can grasp it, but then I wanna yell, "tell the truth!", but I'm grasping at when/why you can't/shouldn't. Like, if the Wizard hadn't (falsely!) claimed some that he claimed, Dorthy and gang would have turned to another Wizard, and perhaps that Wizard would send Dorthy and gang on the 'wrong' path, so since there are in fact Munkins about (of all ages) who seem to need a Wizard to tell (or assure) them of the way Home, I could see God using all these Wizards, even those Wizards who are only pretending to know the way Home for ulterior reasons. Of course, the Wizards can't operate by themselves, so a least some Munkins would know the Wizards were lying about some things (again, they must, or none would listen, and would instead turn to another, probably worse, Wizard) but they perhaps believe it's necessary. And, surely they talk about such things with their friends/coworkers at the bar. Maybe even tell their wives. And so, OZ would be full of all sorts of Wizards, with all sorts of Ways Home, and that's just how it would be. Dorthy and gang grew to appreciate the Wizard, and all that he had done for them, but Dorthy's mission was NOT to promote the Wizard's Balloon Home, for Dorthy had another path, and besides, Dorthy knew the Balloon didn't get her home anyway, it was the shoes all along. the end ;)

Now, look in the Bible: 1 Timothy 2:11-15 we learn the WHY wives must submit to their husbands, because Adam was formed first, so now I know that cattle, that were formed right before Adam, that I am to submit to those cattle: 11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. 12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. 13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve. 14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. As explained in the song, Adam was formed first, then Eve, and Adam was not deceived. That is the reason Paul gives that women shut up. And, cattle also meet these 2 qualification: 1) formed first 2) not deceived. So, the cow was NOT deceived, and the cow was formed before Adam, so men must submit to cows ... BY THE LOGIC OF 1 Timothy 2:11-15 So, yes, the Bible does tell men to submit to cows! moooooooooo! (God's Peace, Grace, and Love to you!)
