Ive been trying to romance Gale for a couple of days now, just to see how the story plays out. Needless to say, it didn’t happen. It was over when Astarion says; “Of course it’ll turn me into a monster, what else did I expect,” it’s such a foreshadowing phrase, and there’s so much pain behind it. I can’t romance anyone else.

I love our companions. We are such a lovely bunch of broken, highly traumatized beings. Something within me died when I learned he wanted to sleep with me because he was afraid. I never thought he was serious, I thought he wants to simply have fun. But it feels so soul crushing when I think about the fact that he thought it's the only way to protect himself.

i would be devastated. i try to avoid the iron throne quest when i can (because then i would have to fight gortash, and feel obligated to disable the steel watch in between), but if i'm wyllmancing i HAVE to save the duke. i'm getting my happy ending acorn proposal dammit.

This is why I couldn't possibly bring myself to let Astarion ascend. I appreciate that the opportunity exists because I think both paths are valid, and they complement one another. But I love seeing Astarion get his happy ending, and ascension is simply NOT his happy ending. It brings out the very worst in Astarion. And the thing is, if you persuade him not to ascend, he recognizes after the fact what a bad decision it would have been. Astarion chases power out of fear. Fear of being weak --- of being a victim. It's understandable, but giving into the fear isn't what he needs. He needs to be brave. And that's why I find the ending where he makes the brave choice to be the most satisfying ending for him.

He's so damaged.. I got this too, and I was thinking this is like a co dependency relationship.. or being with a master manipulator.. whatever it is, it's definitely not real love.. sorry, lol.. but then again, this is just a game, no?.. so I just play along.. Gale is still hung up on Mystra, Wyll is meant to be with Karlach plus he has horns.. that's such a turn off.. next one I will ignore Karlach so Wyll won't have horns.. perhaps romancing him would be more fulfilling..

Halsin was the only one that tricked me. And this was during my 5th or 6th play through. Every other one was like "nice try bitch" but this one...this one I went like "oh shit...i would have totally died if you were actually planning to kill me."

I hate Halsin but I actually love this scene specifically, the parallels between Sylvanus and a deity as dark and evil as Bhaal when Orin mentions "the last god who will ever be knelt before" makes it such an interesting line because it makes you wonder which one she means. More of this throughout the game would've made Halsin actually interesting to check up on and get to know, Malfurion Stormrage is probably the best druid character for me but hes from a different IP

Even when the opportunity was possible for me, I let him join Hackett. I don't hold a grudge against him at all, but though he would be nice to have on my team, I already got plenty of crewmates that can help me directly, so having Kaiden help me by boosting my war assets a bit is a good tradeoff. He deserves to be a boss this time. He trusted me that Udina was an asshole, so I trust him to lead his own squad. Its something little, but i love how spawn astarion's face softens and looks lighter. Whereas the shadowing on ascended astarion's face darkens and because more prominent.

I killed the orthon, had Excellent approval, and did two LRs afterwards, but I couldn’t make this scene pop. I had to settle for the one with the annoying drow chick 😒

I might just have piss poor memory, but my first playthrough Astarion didn't try to deceive them when the spawn attacked camp. Are there multiple variations of this event, or am I just crazy?

Triggered this literally after the bite scene. The morning after when everyone was talking about astarion being a vampire. And I chose the option. If you don’t like it. You can leave. And boom. Propositioned me.

My gale was wearing the robe of the weave and the cloak that you find in ketheric's room but what really gave orin away right away was that the clothes weren't dyed blue. I dyed gales armor blue because I love him in blue but orin had the armors original color. So I knew It was her right away, she could have fooled me for a min if she had just dyed the clothes
