I noticed that you use your rotary cutter at a slight angle instead of straight up. Is there a reason for that?

Did you cut at the 8” mark or 9” mark? Because you said the 1st real cut was 9”. Look around 8:41 timeframe on your video. It went from 8” to 9”.

wouldn't you want to lay out your fabrics so that when it's joined, the fabrics are the same where the blocks (angles) meet?

Thank you for your video on squaring and cutting fabric. While I am not a quilter I do appreciate your clear and concise instructions. So many instructional videos are mostly someone filling air with unhelpful and unnecessary commentary. Your video was focused, concise, and without off topic talking. Professionally presented.

I have been having trouble measuring and cutting accurately, especially larger pieces of fabric. I needed a piece 47" x 47", and it just wasn't working. Your video is so helpful! Thank you.

Very helpful for me, a beginner. I could watch how you handled the fabric and how you combined use of the square and the cutting mat to work efficiently and accurately. Pacing was also good for me. Thank you.

Perfect video. NO ONE ever shows dealing with a large amount of fabric and your tips were spot on. Just followed your tip on a 3 yard piece and it squared up perfectly. TY TY TY. I too wash, dry my fabrics firt because cotton shrinks! And I would never think of making an entire quilt without washing the fabrics first because the entire quilt is going to have to washed sooner or later! Again, thanks a million.

Thank you so much for showing how to square a large piece of fabric. I just got through making two pillow cases and was having that uneven lay of the fabric. I think this is what went wrong, not so square fabric. My technique was perfect but still I had to unpick twice. I did do a little cutting on the second unpick and it got better.

All the videos today on UA-cam are not this thorough I don't know why they're just throwing them out there and leaving us but your videos are more thorough and you're taking your time. I think the longer videos are better for me like yours where you're taking your time with us not just trying to hurry up and throw out another video thanks for all your time
