I have to change blue antifreeze to red antifreeze. I have to flush engine and radiator prolerly. I think I'll have to drain antifreeze, top up de-ionised water, run engine to 90*C and flush couple more times before I'll add red coolant.
The best thing to do first before replacing the whole sensor is to actually unplug it and spray it with WD-40 to clean it

the ctdi doesn't have a dpf???
@@rupertbear6883 I mean, are you a drug addict or hallucinating? You saw "Honda i-CTDi" on the engine and you saw the DPF underneath and its pressure sensor, and you still asking? Stop making fun of you guys, there are more countries in the world than the UK...
What causing check emission error?
@@dusan211 there can be a lot of reasons, like a misfire, air to fuel ratio failure or a bad sensor for example, but the ignition system can in most cases be the cause, so you may have bad spark plugs, bad ignition cables or bad ignition coils.
Thank you for sharing the video, can you tells us what part number for that belt?
Haha your saying dont listen to other folk saying blah blah blah .... You cant string a sentence together with much sense . Your out your depth . let me give you some ideas. Although the icdti doesnt have a dpf we shall talk about the i-dtec and other engines that do. The main causes are 1. glow plugs or control not working and causing smokey start up caught by dpf. Egr stuck open causing loss of turbo manifold pressure resulting in overfueling causing mega black soot caught in dpf. 3. Intercooler or pipe burst causing same effect. 4. Constant short runs never allowing for regen conditions. 5. Long idling causing similar conditions. 6. Poor engine oil choice with high ash content or fuel ( or contaminated fuel) not meeting manufacturers spec/ regulations. Dpf have a finite lifespan also so mieage dependant you can expect to remove for professional clean or replace
The black idler pulley with the torx screw, is it left hand thread or right hand, meaning righty tightly lefty loosie? I want to replace mine and I'm not sure which way to unscrew it.
I unfortunately did not change such a pulley on a same car as this one. I advise you to check a repair manual for the same car. It may also come a new bolt with the new pulley and then you can see how the threads look like. If you want to do it anyway you can carefully turn it to the opposite side of how the pulley turns normally when the engine is one, if you feel that it is turning easy then you are good to go, if not, you can carefully also turn it to the other side and see, but if you feel hard resistance by turning it to both sides then do not continue. Good luck 🙂
Did you struggle to Get it on? I am unable to Get my belt on
It may feel hard, or it may feel that the belt is shorter, so just pull the tensioner to the end and install it, if it does not work, it means that the belt is not sitting right (all lines and teeth have to be sitting right) or that the belt is not the right one.
What the fuck are you talking about? Open bleeding valve, pour some colant untill no bubbles come, close valve and tank cap, drive untill engine is warm, check level and top up if needed. DONE
Thanks for this. I’m having a similar issue on my auto Scenic. Suddenly, the right side lights stopped working. Then after trying to start it again no crank, with warning messages inside. Also the fan wouldn’t turn off until I disconnected the battery. Do you think any of that could be related to not cranking?
It sounds like an electric problem, I recommend checking the fuses and the fuses' boxes for corrosion first, then the grounds (There are like 3-6 ground wires in cars) and the other cables for corrosion, finally you can check the ECU itself if it has corrosion or just broke because of another reason (ECU's problems are not that common). You are welcome 🙂
Healthy engine. No way it sat for long enough to be cold right?
It was sitting outside for long time, maybe longer than a day in coldness 🙂
It's good to take out fuel pump fuse and turn on motor again to let pressure out be you disconnect those lines!!! Or some way to relieve pressure.
Man I thought that was the dmlt pump never seen a filter with a connector.
Very good video thanks
Thank you! 😃

What if is a metal bolt that has fallen inside What will happen
It has to be removed before starting the engine, otherwise it may sit in the opening of the valve and keep it open and let the piston hit the valve, or it may get inside the cylinder and damage the engine more.
What is the part number of the belt?
The OEM number of the belt is: 38920-RBD-E03

I heard that the belt tensioner can go bad and will cause a rattling sound. Are you familiar with this problem? I will replace belt and tensioner shortly
If the rattle sound is continuous it may be the drive belt's tensioner (You can see it jumping or vibrating when the engine is on), but if the rattle sound disappears in few seconds after startup it means that the timing chain's tensioner is bad.
by drive belt you mean the serpentine belt?@@MerohDIY

Just replaced mine today, everything went well, except the old radiator cap doesn't seem to quite fit the new radiator. Thanks for the video 👍
Good work :) When you get a new one, do not forget to check that the new one holds the same amount of pressure as the original one, otherwise it can be bad for the cooling system.
@@MerohDIY yep i know that. Im just wondering how can I find a cap that fits perfectly, because it kind of fits, but it's really tight to screw on.
@@0lz179 well, it may just be that the newer plastic that is a bit bigger and it is fine? As long as it holds the same pressure and it fits (even if it is harder a bit) so it is okay. I am not sure but I remember that when I put a new cap it felt harder and felt like the cap was scratching the radiator's plastic, but I used it and it worked.
@@MerohDIY yeah, you described it pretty well. I'll just try to run the old cap since it holds the pressure just fine i think. Thanks 👍

Focusing screens are made of very soft plastics and they can not be cleaned with tissues or something mechanical either. Just change them. In the change, make sure that the screen comes in to the bay in the right position. If not, You can break the mirror mechanism. Also remember to do such operations in a very clean place. Dust is the worst thing in the camera. Its an easy operation, but pay attention to everything when you open something in the mirror/ sensor housing. A single mistake can cause serious problems.
thanks. I'm the first owner, 170k KM on original belt :) Mostly found videos with Gasoline engine or oder 1G of cee'd and was surprised to see no manual tension bolts on my car :D Good that we have auto-pulley-tensioner. Did the replacement tonight, since the mechanic said it's already started to crack... The upper roller without grooves which is the auto-tensioner, made out of metal, probably needs to be changed, because it has like 1-2mm of play in it, but... maybe that's ok? probably when it will die i'll hear the squeaks. I used to have the squeking noises only after i killed the engine for 1-2 seconds (squeak... squeak... silent), but after replacing the belt it's silent again, yay! it was a bit tiredsome to pull from the bottom of the car the tensioning bolt with one hand ALL THE WAY and drag the belt to the grooves. What helped is to use the smallest one on the top as a last one, that worked. Trying to put the belt on the lowest largest two on the bottom didn't help. p.s. fun fact, i didn't have the plastic cover in my cee'd, hehe. Oh well, one less thing to care about, but it was a pleasant (?) surprise.
Good job :) You did right, if the belt is worn, the squeaks may be from it. Pulleys may have some play, but as long as they rotate freely and rotate straight so no need to change them. But it is always good to be sure if the play is normal or if it is a sign of a worn pulley :)
Ty bro, it helped sooo much
You are welcome 😃
ctdi don't have a dpf.
Cheers geeza. Doing mine tday
Good luck 😃
Very useful video. Thank you.
Thank you :)
What tourque did you use to tighten the bolts for the sensor?
I did not have the torque specs when I did it. You can tighten it as you felt it was tightened before (If it was the original sensor, otherwise just feel it), tighten them one by one for like three levels so the sensor sits straight on the oil pan, there is a rubber gasket there, it will hold the oil from leaking. You can check if it is sitting good by starting the engine after refilling it with oil, let, until the engine warms up and rev a bit after that, finally check if there is leaking.
Thanks Mate! Helpfull. Its not complicated but you showed it very well. Cherrs!
Great and very informative video - just wondering if you scrapped the car since you just move and scramble the manifold around on the floor without thinking about all the scratches it gets everywhere and possible debris coming inside the manifold - it's all scratched up dude!!!

Civic diesel do not drive kn DPF they drive on CAt converter.
@@megafilmsrainbow5236 Stop making fun of you guys, there are more countries in the world than the UK...
Hi, I think your suggestions about DPF problems are totally correct. When I used CR-V it was constantly getting DPF error and going to limp mode, of course at the car service I was told that the catalytic converter has to be removed and DPF reprogrammed or I need to buy a new catalytic converter. It costs huge money, basically half of the price I bought my CR-V. It cost me 120 euros to remove it but sold the catalytic converter at the precious metal waste purchase for the same price, it seems that the catalytic converter was still pretty alive. Sure, this solved the problem of the error, but the real problems stayed. I was hearing some whooshing sound when accelerating and higher fuel consumption. Noticed that the intercooler was blown (probably due to some crash, because the frame near it was folded), bought a used one for 50 euros, and replaced it. The sound was better but some whooshing still persisted. So later I noticed that the hose near the air intake sensor (the one you pointed out) was torn, also bought a used one for 15 euros. Did all the work with my father. That solved all the problems. Since then there was no problems at all. I wish you have posted this several years ago. I think the car would still have a catalytic converter. :D
Good job man! Much better when you work by yourself on your car, some mechanics are bad and not educated... Thank you :)
is it possible that you can get an error code on this sensor, this front and rear pressure sensor,? Like code which says that there is a fault with the sensor itself and not the dpf??
I do not think so, if this sensor goes bad it will only read wrong, but it will not give a fault code about that it has a fault, maybe it can give a code if it has an electricity fault like a contact problem. Honda dealership did not say that this sensor can give a fault code, they said that if the DPF light comes on it may be some other problems and after checking that everything is okay with the engine, then one has to change the sensor, which means that it may go bad without giving a fault code.
i have a crv exactly the same motor com in this video i had a bad dpf and i replaced it and all the pipes on it but i cant get the dpf light to go away and i don't get any error codes.what can be the problem??
There can be many reasons as I mentioned in the video, the most common one is air leak, so you can check the air intake system, intercooler leak for example, if you can not find the problem, get the car diagnosed by Honda workshop and not by anyone, it is important, Honda workshops know about their cars. The DPF does not need changing in this car and it is better to be the original one and the hoses that were changed may have bad connections for example. Check my other video about DPF, it is better than this one: ua-cam.com/video/YIT1rPsPoiY/v-deo.html

Hi! Thanks for the video. Question: at time stamp 5:20 you show the inside of the intake manifold. What is that glue-like substance around the green gaskets for the intake? Was that original from the factory? Or has someone changed the intake manifold before? Best regards, Paul
Hi! That was grease and it is not from the factory, if the gaskets are okay so you can use them again directly, if the gaskets are a bit worn so you can replace them first but if you can not so you can use some grease (Silicone grease so it does not damage the rubber) and it will be okay. You are welcome! :)
@@MerohDIY OK, I see, thanks!
Do u need new manifold gaskets or rubber rings when u take off and put back on?
No, you do not need new rubber gaskets if yours are good and are not leaking air. If you want to, you can change them, because the intake manifold will be already off and it will be easy to change them. Remember to clean them and to clean where they sit on the engine and on the manifold, same ones or new ones, better if they sit on a clean surface.
Ok my volvo v50 rocket cover is leaking oil onto plugs causing misfire. Some recommended to change pcp valve or crank breather valve
@@Onemanshow1974 Change the valve cover gasket and spark plugs gaskets (That are located under the cover, the rubber ones, not the metal ones) and then you can check the PCV valve if the valve cover leaks again on the sides or on the spark plugs.
When I open cap and put larex rubber glove it blows not sucks. I can try gasket. I change rubber coils and spark plugs and change gasket. Clean rocket cover before putting on new gasket and where it sits I will clean is there a torque setting for rocket cover. Thank you for the video good stuff
