    Nice job, this is exactly what I was looking for ... I assumed I'd be slapping the clutch all day in a geared tractor so I planned to stay with hydros. Now it can be an informed decision.

      Since the mahindra is 20k cheaper I would pick the mahindra. It's a more capable machine for the dollar.

    Hydraulics routing on the Kioti loader is MUCH nicer than on the Kubota. No loops hanging out to snag on stuff.

    Trying to understand why you would be smelling exhaust when you have the enclosed cab… can you please explain because I’m new and looking into cab vs no cab. Thanks! Also about the AC without tinted windows it will have trouble keeping up in summer. Think you have same issue as with a car and lots of windows. Greenhouse effect

    I've been looking at this size tractor, do you think the 33hp version is a little overkill for the chassis size? Wondering if the 22hp version would be better for it because it seems like Kubota is not putting more hp than some of the frames need and you will never use all the hp due to lack of weight of the tractor.

    • @lukedaoutdoorguy7639
      @lukedaoutdoorguy7639 2 місяці тому

      I dont think at all it's too much hp for the frame. If you have the pto engaged and running in medium range you will find it bog down on you. If your running the pto alot I would for sure get the extra HP.

    I just ordered a 6075 pst cab today. Buddy seat updated, loader updated, cab updated. The starter issue sounds like a similar issue they have on zero turns with the magnetic shift solenoids. The fix is basically adding a 12v relay to the starter from the battery. It’s basically a more direct path versus going through safeties. Good review thanks!

      Gas ....... comes with a 25" bar. Upgrade to the 32", not only for bigger wood but you can mostly stand up straight and buck. Your back will love you for it. Had mine for about 3 years now. About 3 months in watched a video from Buckin' Billy Ray about running long bars mainly for that reason. Bought one, won't ever go back. This isn't a "pruner' saw so just be aware you will need a shorter bar or, preferably (like me), a smaller saw for the light work. I also have the bark box which is the best bolt on accessory you can get, followed by a set of Pro-Safety Felling Dogs and a chain catcher (all from Westcoast Saws). On cold start it will almost always need 3 to 4 pulls, it's the nature of Stihl. The proper start procedure is choke on, pull until the saw "burps", pop the throttle to release the choke to run, pull until it starts (usually about 2 or 3 pulls), let saw warm up for about a minute before going to work. Use the best bar and 2-stroke oil you can get, ALWAYS run ethanol free gas, do your maintenance, take care of this machine and it will last the rest of your life. Good, informative video.

    ... How do you think this vehicle would perform as just an option for running in town errands? ... I'm looking for options that would be used in the town of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, know for their cobble stone streets. Several people online suggested a UTV in lieu of getting a car there.

    • @lukedaoutdoorguy7639

    "SCV" (selective control valve). You could get a hydraulic multiplier. Summit Hydraulics sells them. You can get them that will either be a 4 bank or a 6 bank, which would give you 3 or 5 more SCV's respectively.

    Fantastic video! I also have a NS6010 HST cab model with just short of a 100 trouble free hours. These machines are animals forsure! One thing i was gonna mention is that you have one more setting on your rear wheels to make them a bit wider, probably another inch on each side that will make it even more stable on uneven surfaces. If you knew this already then i apologize! Have a great day.

    For diesels, I was taught that, must have a good heavy duty starter and a good battery. Its a must. However, block heaters also need time to warm up as its set up that way where it will only allow certain voltage through. Kinda like battery trickle

    That thing looks painfully slow and rough to use. I couldn't see getting a tractor driven chipper without infeed rollers. I have an old DR 18hp chipper that would run circles around any one of these gravity/pinch feed pto chippers, and it could take a oner 4 inches easily if it just had a way to slow down the infeed. Anything 1 to 3 inches will keep two people running to feed it. It can take larger, but depending on the hardness of the wood, it beats the machine pretty hard, and will stall if you dont hold back on the brush. I wish it had just a simple brake for big stuff. Still, engine or pto driven, i never want another one that does not have power infeed.

    Those guards are more than i have on my CX and those locations for steering and hydraulic lines arent a problem and been through woods 100s of hours. Watch for stumps and hidden holes in ground. You have a cab, so you probably wont get into too thick, tight, or low branches with that size machine. Oh, caregul welding on that without disconnecting battery or removing the component you're welding (don't want to fry your electronics).
