I love seeing young, new, motivated investors. Keep it up and you will continue to be amazed. Thank you for sharing, too.
That you for the kind words!!! 😃
hey! I loved the video. Do you pay any sort of fee with each purchase?
@@kasiadubkiewicz1174 I haven’t had to pay a fee, maybe other brokerages are different I’m not sure. But I know you have to file it on your taxes. They send you a statement every year so you can file
Yes and yes .. am going set up the account with schwab n do it too
the only thing with schwab I don't think you can do fractional shares with ETF's. So thats why I opened the account with vanguard because you can do fractional shares with Vanguard ETF's.
I like your intro and the video looks very vivid and nice
thank you!!!!

That app looks familiar. (Workday). Love how I can change deposit fast & ready before next check. Just wish there was a retirement account option. Plan to that $1000 emergency saving challenge then set check to Automate 20% to savings.

Hey I really like the video and how you budget🙌 maybe you could shorten the intro a little? It's kinda long😅
I don't know how much you have in your High Yield Savings Account. But usually, credit card interest rates are a lot higher than what savings accounts give. Usually it is better to use any savings you have to pay off your credit cards. I see Navy Federal has credit cards at 14 - 18% APR while Capital One is 20% and up.
@@tonyhamlin9760 with my capital credit card I haven’t had it for a year so I won’t start being charged interest till March 2025 I only owe like $500 on it. I’m paying that off soon. I do owe a lot on navy federal but I’m working on paying that off too.
I like the software you use. I have a very basic system, Microsoft Money. I have been using it since 1998. None of the fancy graphics. But it allows me to go into a lot of detail. What I do, though, is update it every day. That way I can identify more easily what I am spending. Rather than just groceries, I have a food category and then sub-categories, so if I spend a lot on one kind of food, I may change it. Rather than just shopping, I have clothes, electronics, utilities, personal categories. Then sub-categories for each. There is also a gift category for donations as well as what I spend on friends and family. My biggest expense, which you don't have is rent. I was surprised at how high the interest on your savings is. I have $20,000 at 6% on deposit, and I only earn $85 per month after tax.
Great video! Stay disciplined with it!
This was a nice video I enjoy this . I’m gonna start budget because I know I can save nuff money, my spending habits was very bad but I’ve learnt to be self disciplined and I only have 3 credit cards to pay off 2 of which will be paid off my August then I’ll focus on the bigger bill. After paying off my credit cards I’ll be doing strictly savings for 6 months after paying my tithes, transportation, and food, that’s almost $300 weekly. I need an emergency savings account and money save. I won’t be having lol my cards opened never again
@@ferventloverofJesusChrist9868 Budgeting has helped me so much you got this!! Being Discipline is key. Continue to keep my updated 🫶🏾
Excellent video. My favorite part is when you talked about paying all of your bills before you went on the cruise, amazing! I think budgets are easier to manage when they're written out like that.
❤️❤️
I have a couple of HYSA’s. I have one with Synchrony Bank, SoFi, and a Capital one. Great video!
Great video! Great job on investing on yourself too! Investing scares many and they don’t do it, so good for you. I’ll be following allowing.
Thank you so much!!!
Yes, debt free! 5:08 I love seeing the young ladies getting it!! ‼️💕💚
Oooooh congrats on your new job!!! I love your positive vibes so much! 🥰💙
Thank you so much!!
Do you use your credit card for bills or personal spending? Also would you advise getting one if you don’t already have one?
I use my credit card for personal spending I don't really have major bills. I would only recommend it you don't have credit and you want to start building it, I think having a credit card with a small limit is a good start. But only spend what you have so you'll be able to pay it off. I'm going to make a video about this so I can better explain it so stay tuned.
@@inspiredbysonia thank you I appreciate it 🙏🏾

Yesss congratulations on your growth, and girl, yes, pay off those credit cards 🎉🎉
Yes! Thank you!
Yay, congratulations!! !!! !! 🎉❤🎉❤ May God continue to bless you
congratulations on your new job, love to see the financial upgrades 💰
Thank you!!
I also do a high yield savings account… that’s just for emergencies I keep a local bank for bills and I’m on a social security income .. since I get money one a month I make it a point to put the first $30 in that acct then I pay the rest of my bills.. and I do not get government assistance.. then I have a monthly food budget that I try to reduce by $20 for the month and I add that to the emergency fund so my goal is at least $40-50 a month to my emergency fund…. While paying off consumer debt…. Don’t stress over the amount so much as to the main thing is being consistent.. some months I can save more.. the key is a budget.. I don’t drive so I use public transportation that’s going to always be cheaper…. I also downsized and live in an apt where my heating and cooking is gas.. 0k but that utility is included in my rent .. and I pay $900 a month on a social security benefit.. so it can be done…. I built my emergency fund it just took a while and I’m still adding to that $1000 while on bs2
You got this continue you stay disciplined!! Patience is key that’s something I have to remind myself from time to time. We got this though 🥳
