Just a short little video because I donuted on the previous big session out. Ended up with two good size flattys sitting at 50-55cms both ended up coming back for the plate for the family. Couldn’t find/hookup to any kings u fortunately but both very good fish.nonetheless

First session out on the yak with the Lowrance HDS live unit, such a clear and cool piece of tech. Flicking some drop offs and a channel receding from 1-8 metres for jew and pulled a couple nice flat skulls. Playing with editing proper sessions again, let me know how you like them. Tight lines

What type of 8lb leader do you use and how long should a leader be for fishing rockey situations like this?
I've been using FC Rock which i havent had any issues with for a while now. I usually run a 1-2 rod lengths of leader in general.

Is kayak fishing ,as simple as-using the sonar to find where the fish are and then dropping a line,or is there more to it than that?
I fished without a sounder for a while aswell, and it’s pretty simple. Find structure and fish that area, where it be a rock wall, sand flats with weed beds, drop offs. Be more fish species specific, which will depict where you will be fishing and what zone
Amazing, what's the minimum you recommend on spending to purchase a fish finder .are you happy with yours ?
It’s personal preference, I think it’s what you want from your fish finder. Are you after just depth and gps/maps or did you want side scan? Personally the side scan option is what i would go for as a minimum. Because I know i would eventually upgrade anyway.
