@@KalenaEmrys That's so cool. I wish we could have stayed the night but my husband was allergic to something in the air. I enjoyed what little time we had there, it was definitely like stepping into a time capsule.

We went in April I understand that time is considered spring but for that area it is definitely winter still. We spoke to some of the workers at Mount Rushmore and they say it is so peaceful this time of year. The crowds don't show up until the season starts which is mid May. I love the snow and will definitely have to go back when there's more on the ground.

He was good dog, this past April though we had to say goodbye, he was 15 years old.

That's so exciting, I know you and your BF will have the best time. If we our ever back in Kansas City we will be staying here again, or maybe their sister location which is just up the street.

They are not ideal but we make the most of it when we have too.

There was definitely with not as many interactions as this past year but was still alot of fun. If you haven't checked it out yet you should go this year. It's been our favorite event during the month of October.

Are you talking about the salt in the water? So it's very important to purge any kind of live crustacean, the salt helps them spit out any kind of mud or sand. This way you have some good clean eating. 👌

@@OurExtraordinaryOrdinaryLife put more salt in your boil and leave the salt out of purge because more crawfish die and makes boil taste bad

I agree. Crayfish are freshwater. By using salt, you're killing your mud bugs.

I guess I just don't really understand, they die anyway as soon as they hit the boiling water. This is the way my family has always done it. But I really do appreciate the input.

Our situation was a little different because our landlord had to pay for our stay. There was work that had to be done on the house. But over all I think it was 1000 for the month.

@@OurExtraordinaryOrdinaryLife how did you get this with 1000$ a month? We are looking all over the place for 10 days at extended stay and everything is >1,000$ for just 10 days and not a suite with bedrooms but just a studio... can you share how you could pay so low?

Extended stay america is usually 350 a week

I honestly don't know but I do know there are places out there that do offer monthly rates.
