I thought I was done for the year but the fun stories from DOD Saturday were dropping and I was getting massive FOMO; So I decided to see if the Miata worked and it seemed to rip still. I threw on some panels to pass tech and decided to send off the year with fun, aggressive laps. My driving on main course could have been better but I think overall my techniques are growing and I am becoming a better/more aggressive driving every event.
The car was having some issues, the handbrake lever on the right caliper would stick after using it so I decided to drop the idea of using it (Although I am happy to find out it works!! It is an enjoyable technique I have missed). The car was also making a weird inflatable balloon whine sound, which I am guessing to be a boost leak or collapsing boost coupler. It also shut off on me during a 4th gear entry but seemed to be fine after turning it on/off. My homemade knuckles also seem to hate big entries, I think it's time to get something else. THE CAR NEEDS LOVE.
I will paint it/finish it and get ready for another season of hard driving. Still planning around trying another chassis or getting an N/A miata but I need the funds for that haha.
