Launch of the OECD Survey on Drivers of Trust in Public Institutions, 2024 results
Paris, 10th July 2024. The second OECD Survey on Drivers of Trust in Public Institutions, carried out in late 2023, examines how people’s expectations and experiences with everyday government interactions and complex policy decision-making influence their trust in public institutions.
The report suggests policy actions based on the findings from nearly 60 000 responses across 30 OECD countries. For the first time, the report analyses how trust levels and drivers have evolved in the 20 OECD countries that already participated in the 2021 iteration of the survey. It also explores how the information environment affects people's trust in public institutions.
