MEAT' BULL - Arizona Bull Elk (Early Rifle Hunt)
A hunt tribute to Randy Weems (MEAT’) who The Weems family has lost just a short few years back and who could not make this hunt of a lifetime. We will forever cherish and carry Randy in spirit as we ‘Hunt for the Memories’.
After 17 years of applying for a premier public land early season rifle Bull Elk hunt, Hunter Weems was able to draw his dream tag.
Hunter has spent years of guiding all across Arizona pursuing big game for others and it was finally his time to be back behind the trigger.
Watch as Hunter along with family and friends of Arizona Custom Hunts pursue Hunter's best Bull Elk to date at the peak of the Arizona Elk rut.

Sonora, Mexico became yet another desired bucket list hunt as we headed down with Sonora Outdoors to pursue Venado Cola Blanca or as we know them better as Coues Deer. Try a public land hunt
Fortunately this was a public land hunt. The hunter applied for after 17 years of putting in as a resident.
One point for you, take those stupid sunglasses off your cap, they are a mirror to any animal in front of you, and believe me, they see a glint and they are gone! I just don't get why hunters take sunglasses into the field and have them out where they can gleam the sky, sun, or clouds to an animal that you want to shoot! I don't allow anyone that I am guiding to wear sunglasses in the field when we are stalking or moving through areas where there are animals that are answering calls, it just doesn't work out well most of the time. Hunters erroniously think they were winded when in fact the simple glint from the glasses, either over the eyes or on the front of the cap, tipped the animal off, and you wind up eating tag soup!
Crazy how much big shit I’ve killed with sunglasses on my hat. Maybe it actually intrigues them and they come in out of curiosity 🤷♂️
I agree. I will not take a chance. Don't need them anyway with a cap on. I don't take chances with mechanical broadheads. Yeah they can work but they can fail too. Fixed is fixed! And mine fly true.

Cues or black tail mexico preffered calibers ?
What calibers do you recommend for this type of hunting in Mexici ?
We shot our Coues with a .300 PRC made by Arrowhead Rifles with shots being a bit further we preferred a larger caliber gun and shot 215 grain ammo. I prefer any caliber greater than .270 for that kind hunt in Mexico.
