I think it might have been the result of working two 16-hour shifts, but I've been using it and I've gotten much better results. I retract my former complaint.

@@Frostforged This is a beautiful moment! I would like you to know that I have since removed the Rankle's Prank and the Painful Quandry and added 1xThe End and 2x Rottenmouth Viper. (I can't remember the 3rd removal for the 2nd viper, but I guess it can be a preference).

Yes! I actually played it just this morning for a couple games. I have made changes though. I have taken out the Rankle's Prank and the Painful Quandry, and added The End and Rottenmouth Viper.

I'm invested in this deck now, thanks. It got me through Silver into Gold pretty nicely (I know, I know, Silver). It seems to have an OK match up against mono red so far, as you predicted. I dropped Quandry tho - it's been clunky in the opener more than a lock in the late game, and double drains from the Bandit's Talents do the trick. I like the tech of splashing green just for cottages, but swapped the fabled passages for fast black/green lands, since I feel like not missing an early turn is more important in this meta than a tapped T4+ land (am probably wrong there, though). Anyway, thanks again - I'm a control player who was despairing at this rotation, but discard archetype is hitting the spot. :)

@@beastmode53678 I'm glad you are having success with it. The changes sound good. I actually agree with Quandry, I don't feel it is needed. The tap lands after 4 are untapped.

All I'm going to say is that something seems to be up sometimes. My favorite, and I've seen this in MTGA and Hearthstone, is needing a card so badly turn after turn and never seeing it as you die, then in your opening hand the next game it's right there! Anyway, I'm happy you got to mythic! Congratulations!

If I was to play this in BO3 I would change some cards around in the main. I would take out Tinybones, the Pickpocket and Lazav, and replace them with Bloodtithe Harvester and Sheoldred. (Which after the fact is likely a good change to make in BO1 as well. As for the sideboard I would probably do something like this: 1x Cutdown 1x Go for the Throat 2x Duress 2x Negate 3x Brotherhood's End 2x Liliana of the Veil 2x Tishana's Tidebinder 2x Gix's Command That's something to work with. Would need adjusted based on what you're seeing.

@@MoldyKumquat thanks for the ideas. i havent played standard since sheoldred came out! so im so lost in what the main "sideboard" cards are. and honestly i dont want to read through every single card. lol

Absolutely. Been playing this deck - well a similar deck with the same payoff - for about a week. Loses to like two dozen graveyard hate cards (King Skitter is a pain in the ass) because unless you wait until like turn 6 or 7 with a faithful mending, rakdos, hulking, and abuelo's all in-hand, you're never going to be able to go off in one turn. and however many instant speed removal spells are out there. Not to mention counterspells. Kotose, The End, The Stone Brain, and Deadly Cover-Up all absolutely shut down the deck, too, with no possible way to recover in one fell swoop since they find and exile each copy of the same card.

What are you typically going up against?

@@MoldyKumquat the typical stuff, boros convoke, mono red, rarely UW control. I even got out-tempoed by a mono black deck. the deck is either too slow or they always have answers for every single spell I cast, there is rarely an in-between. all in all I played 20 matches with grixis crimes/outlaws and I lost 17 of them

@@KodasGarden I hate you've had that experience. I've played around 100 games with the deck and I've won about close to 50% of them. I know as far as pacing goes, I look to get Tiny Bones Joins Up in my opening hand, as well as a Vadmir, Marchesa is key to victory as well. Sometimes I know it seems like one gets overrun, but I think it can even out. Not saying continue to play it if you are losing. 17 loses would make me rage for sure! lol. I just posted another Outlaw/Legends deck in Golgari, and I feel it is better. One thing is for sure, it's early for the new set. In about a month there will be some calming on what is viable. This time in the previous set I was playing Insidious Roots and thought it was going to be unstoppable! Now if I try to play it I can't win for anything!

@@MoldyKumquat yeah I've had that opener a few times, and it just feels like it gets overrun too quickly or I get spot removaled to death unfortunately. I feel like it's probably bad luck, because I see lots of other people doing well with the deck

@@MoldyKumquat upon further inspection the games had some real bad shuffling history and still does, its hilarious its even worse at this point. People of your calibur definitely need to make a movement of videos and criticism directly towards wotc for this atrocity of 5 years with bad shuffling

I appreciate you saying that, and I would love for something to happen if it is possible. Especially if there is a competitive scene with Arena. I'm just barely a drop in this ocean of players and I think there is a lot of pushback from others out there. In my small experience though, MTGA isn't the only game that suffers from this. Maybe AI will help improve virtual shufflers.

@@MoldyKumquat some reason I think yu gi oh has the best shuffling and tbh so does gwent in witcher, no ai needed just formulas corrected
