Best-Kept Secrets of Prince Edward Island, Canada (PEI)
You'll find plenty of things to do in Prince Edward Island if you stay in one of the most popular cities (like Summerside or Charlottetown, PEI) - but you'll also be missing out on some of the very best Prince Edward Island points of interest.
While most Prince Edward Island tourism focuses on the center of the island, the east and west sides of PEI offer solitude and incredible Atlantic scenery unique to the Maritime Provinces of Canada.

@@rishandprish Thanks! It was fun!
Hi! I am travelling to Japan and I have a hair straightener that has a 110-240 voltage and 50/60 Hz power. Do I still need an adapter or converter? Thank you!
That's a dual voltage device, so you will NOT need a voltage converter. You just need an adapter to make the plug fit.
1.3% Risk-Free Real return over 30 years sounds pretty good to me. Lock it in!
You don't need I Bonds for this. As of the date of your comment (Sep. 27, 2024), the guaranteed annual real return on a 30-year TIPS bond held to maturity is actually 1.95%, for example.
Use state shifting materials instead of thermal paste. It costs more initially but it is service free and the performance is way better.
1. The needs are different. I do love gaming and I do CAD work, so I need a more beefy computer. 2. You will reach a point of diminishing returns, where it would make sense to buy a new PC instead of constantly upgrading. I had my old i7 4770K system for over 10 years. It wouldn´t have made sense to upgrade it as instead i could get the new DDR4 or even DDR5 RAM modules etc. 3. If you want to save even more, get a PC in a big box. Easier with cooling, more performance, easier to service and replace stuff.
1. It's true this this old ThinkPad won't handle everyone's computing needs, but it's still in service as a daily driver right now in September 2024! It works great if you're a "normal" computer user. 2. That's true. We probably won't be doing many more upgrades on this ThinkPad X220 in the future, but it's still got lots of life left! 3. Interesting! Personally, we're always traveling and focused on small, lightweight laptops for our needs.
I appreciate the follow-up video and clearing that up.
You have to be okay with losing your job, then you are free to tell them no to things
@@fullyactivated Yes! And the key to gaining that confidence is saving money.
Why is there no unturned fans 🥲
Sell your x220 and buy the x280. I think it will be cheaper than the upgrades😅

How about its battery life, is it good enough for programming😊
@@godfatheryt7626 Great battery life, but it's getting slightly harder to find good quality new batteries as it gets older.

Thanks for your tips! Question: You said that if you have an appliance that doesn't accept the full range of 100V to 240V, you'll need a voltage converter. I have a hair curling iron that lists a range of 110-240V, with 50/60Hz. Do I still need a voltage converter because it lists 110V instead of 100V? Just thought I'd double check!
@@turtleduckcrossing463 Good question. You're safe!
@@TripOfALifestyle Great! Thanks so much for your response!
I always use fast charger for my phone here in tbe UK. I am going to paris in a couple of weeks I still want to be able to fast charge my phone.
@@zombeat7376 Any of the adapters mentioned in the video will probably work perfectly with your phone charger.
I’m sorry I’m still confused and worried too I have a very similar outlet adapter just like the black one in your video, and I’m going to use it in the Philippines but I’m worried it might fry my iPhone 14 and go pro

@@tobetb It depends on the device. Many are dual voltage. Just read your labels! 😊
doesn't x220 came with fingerprint scanner I'm bit confused have some had fingerprint scanner and some don't
@@shadowx5985 It's an optional feature! Some don't have them.
Should i buy one in 2024
It's still a great computer (the one in the video is still the daily driver in 2024!). See if you can score one super cheap.
That adapter and everything like it is dangerous. No shutters, poor contact to the pins, often no earth.
This is where I grew up. PEI is and always will be my home. I'm glad you guys enjoyed it! Awesome video btw. Very good pacing and editing.
@@colinmackay92 Thanks so much! You have a beautiful home.
False. Since at least 2008, all electronics with external power supply support up to 250vac. It's called being cost-effective, the only item that would've needed to be changed between regions was the wall cord.
@@vskizl It's still extremely common for light bulbs, hair appliances, and electronics with heating elements like kettles and coffee makers to require a specific voltage input. Please be careful and read your labels!
@TripOfALifestyle Who in their right mind travels with any of the items you listed?? You spoke explicitly about a laptop power supply. I say let people figure it out if they don't want to read anything, just like the difference between NTSC and PAL devices. If a traveling person doesn't already know power differences between countries exist, they should just stay in their parents' basement.

@@mr.hertop5629 Thanks! Will do!
The X220 was also the last laptop they made with that particular keyboard. For that reason alone, it's great. On mine, the fan stopped working -- IDK if it's a hardware or software problem. I will try to replace the fan. And thanks for a very pleasant and helpful video.
@@dipierro4 It's such a nice keyboard!
Hi. USB-A to USB-C adapter can be used to usb-c headphones?
@@ogdan1173 Most likely yes!
@@TripOfALifestyle Thank you.
Thank you for the excellent video, I will definitely use some suggestions on my X220T. Quick question though, is it really necessary to replace the charging port in order to use a GaN charger? I am in the market for one to save me the hassle of taking several chargers when travelling but I would rather just get a 2$ type-c to barrel port adapter, the reason being that I also have a slice battery and can't replace the port on that, being a sealed unit. So is the port replacement really necessary, as in, will it tell the charger what is the correct wattage and voltage in order for everything to work as supposed, or can I safely connect a type-c cable to the stock port using an adapter dongle?
@@davidcarreira536 Never used a C-to-barrel adapter before, but it should work fine if properly manufactured!
Doesnt it ask for long credit card number? There is no such thing as visa gift card. I checked online. Names are all different. Anyone?
awesome man please dont ever come back! you are scum.
Is upgrading the USB from USB 2 to USB 3 simply a matter of changing a USB card, or do you have to change the connectors as well?
@@algavone You're not actually upgrading any of the existing USB ports. You're ADDING 2 extra USB 3 ports via the ExpressCard slot. The card needed to do this is linked in the video description! 😊
Wow amazing video

Great video guys. PEI is definitely on my list. I really appreciate how you compare the two ways to experience the island. Did you guys get a drone? I like the footage. Cheers!
@@Justin_Hikes Thanks Justin! Yeah, we actually got this drone back in 2019!
Come to Bangladesh and then say it doesn't matter much 😂
This definitely doesn't apply to every item everywhere all the time. PPP falls apart for things that cannot be traded easily across borders, like real estate or in-person services. Those will probably be priced much differently in Bangladesh. Standardized, shippable items, like an ounce of gold or a brand new Honda Civic, will still likely be priced with near-perfect parity in Bangladesh.
How do you fit those long rams in your laptop?
Looks like a really great place to visit, I’ve always wanted to check out the home of Anne of Green Gables 😊 Did you retire the red camper van?
It was definitely a relaxing place to visit. And yes - you caught us! We switched camper vans just a few days before leaving on this most recent road trip. Planning to make a video about both vans soon. ☺
This was not helpful. I just need a simple, American made US to China adapter.
