There was a lot of non-original parts used on this build. It was a cool car, but it is sold.

We haven’t put it online yet with any details. Just finished a photo and video shoot yesterday and now we’re putting the top back on to shoot some more pics. This one will be priced in the 6 figure range. Complete restoration everything is new even the glass. First year for the K5 blazer, less than 5,000 were built.

The small block and big block Chevy V8 and trans of the 80s was used for decades and millions of them are still on the road and millions of them have been transplanted into other vehicles of an older era. I see old squarebodys still being used as daily work trucks everyday. I know farmers still using them on farms since they were new. All the new stuff is junk. All these turbo 4cyl motors are junk. The parts are all made in china and they’re cheap and don’t last long and everything requires a sensor or ecu and scanner that you can’t just fix in the fly.

@ I have a 1985 Z28 sitting in my garage rn I have owned it since I was 18 and I’m 53. Iconic body terrible power train. 2 bolt main worst ever. Sitting next to is is my 2011 Shelby GT500 VMP blower swapped new heat exchanger few other bolt ons 6Bolt main making 740 RWHP 5.4 331Ci absolutely a beast. 1974-1994 was a hard time for quality for the BIG3 the Japanese forced them to do better 🤷🏻‍♂️ competition alway brings out the best imo

@ can’t blame things like hp on the politics of the time. Politics gave them low hp. What I’m saying is that the 85 Z28 will do a million miles. Your Shelby won’t. Keep in mind also that all the boat makers were also using small block Chevy motors and many still use the same thing. My 2010 Supra wake board boat even has a 350. They’re durable and dependable.

@ my Z28 did 42k and spun a rod my Shelby is built proof. My friend has a 2019 Camaro ZL1 1LE solid AF he also collects 3rd Gen and has sold most of his stuff bc of the maintenance. They are soft 🤷🏻‍♂️

@ I will say I had a 1991 K Blazer 4x4 small lift 3” with 35” BFGs that I took to Buckeye Lake by Columbus to see Jimmy Buffet in like 1995 and it rained and rained and no one could get out of the grass without 4 wheel drive. I dropped it into 4 high and went away from the line of traffic hit a ditch and launched Dukes of Hazard style through a fence and bounced out on the road and got out of there way ahead of everyone else sooo there are a few exceptions and that truck brings big money today. I sold it for 10k I kept it clean w 100k on the clock in 1997 and they guy couldn’t get his money out fast enough bc how clean it was.
