I accidentally became a Magia Record channel, but I don't regret a thing. I'll probably still post stuff from other games every once in a while.
At first, this channel was to be little more than a repository for videos complementing my Steam guides, and a few random gameplay clips I'd cobbled together. It has since become much more than that. The videos uploaded here mostly relate to certain video games I've played, be they guides, parodies, challenge runs, or something more.
I don't, and probably never will have a consistent upload schedule. I just make the videos I like, and if other people enjoy them, that's wonderful. If they don't... that's disappointing, but as they say in John Wick: "Such is life." I know my channel will never make it big, so there's no sense in obsessing over the UA-cam meta. I'll just keep going wherever my heart leads me, and I hope my videos can bring you as much happiness as creating them brings me. Welcome aboard!

Capped Characters vs. The Witches' Paradox Extermination Battle (Part 1/2)

The capped character expanded universe takes on the titans of yesteryear in one of our most difficult challenge runs yet! Each attribute forms a team, and it's off to the races! Who will fall first? Who will make it the farthest? Can anyone fight all the way to the top? It's time to find out!

I included most of the relevant information in the video itself, so there are just a few things to address here. On the matter of character ratings, I deliberately chose not to use half stars, as I knew I would be unable to decide on ratings if they were any more precise than out of 5. There were a few cases where half-stars up or down were likely warranted, so just be aware that two characters with the same rating in a stat are not necessarily exactly the same. Also, these ratings were based on my previous challenge runs, and did not take into account things like farming or Mirrors performance. Single-target Magia were more useful for most of my previous challenges, especially since the lower base damage of capped characters is more noticeably impacted by enemy defense when using a full-field Magia than a concentrated, single-tile one. The tiling on some of these bosses shook up that paradigm, leading to the majority of bonus or penalty stars in offense.
The highest speed you can set in Paradox Battle is 2x, so it may seem a little slower than you're used to. The polls for video speed are still up, but I decided to play it safe and leave speed as-is for this one. If I do that for part 2, there is always some advanced sleight-of-hand I can employ to further tighten the runtime, if need be. (See: ua-cam.com/users/shortsEVvzMXc6LgY) It... probably wouldn't be that extreme. ^^;
Part 2 shouldn't take nearly as long to come out as part 1 did. The majority of editing work actually went into the intro and setup, as well as decisions about how to structure everything.

I thought it would be boring to say "Part 1/2", so I came up with Light ver. and Dark ver. I did try to roughly group them in a logical way (The Shipper in light vs. The Simp in dark), but not everything fits perfectly, nor does everything involve actual dark types. Meta Enjoyer ended up in dark simply because T1 Doppel spam is a rather unsporting way to play... though a very entertaining one in video format.

The Rayshift patch allowed for stories and certain limited static assets to be displayed in English. In this case, however, the story scene is not a translated one, but a custom one I created.

I time-travelled to before EoS with Homura. :) Nah, this footage was recorded during the final Battle Museum and I just didn't edit it until now. I was more focused on gathering footage than editing after the EoS announcement, so I have a large backlog of videos to work on now.
@Darkstar_0 I figured... but it gave me a spark of hope 😔 are you planning on doing magia exedra videos when that comes out? I like the style of your content a lot, it'd be a shame for it to end here (no pressure)

If they're planning on releasing Exedra "globally" from the start (and on Steam, no less!), I think we should at least be cautiously optimistic. Magia Day is in just a few weeks now, so hopefully we'll get more info then.
Even if I never even played once, it’s sad to see it go. It was very nice to see and absorb it all through videos and stuff and I have to be honest and admit that it has inspired some stories and ideas in my head that I will make real one day. Glad to have known about this game. (Also your Kuro squad series’ message/themes did move me and influence the stories in my head whether I realized it or not)

I might cry-even though I have my account data backed up, and have so many screenshots and videos for memories, I’m still just so sad that this game has ended It was there during pretty much all of the impactful moments of my life-it’s crazy how emotional im getting over one game 😢
I know how you feel. Magia Record is so much more than just a game. It has been with us for so long, and it's tough to let it go.
Goodbye Magia Record, even in spite of all of your flaws, your sins to the franchise, you were unironically fun. Hopefully your HSR child won't disappoint.

It has only been a few days, but I get you. I caught myself going to instinctually open it once already.
If you have any questions about my account or history in the game, please feel free to ask! I didn't expect to get emotional. We had two whole months to prepare, and the shutdown of JP was handled much more gracefully than NA. But when I saw Ren gently smiling at me, even as the void consumed everything around her, I cried. Like, a moderate amount. It was very... cathartic. I hope she'll be in Exedra. For how little of an overall role she played in the story, she sure does mean a lot to a lot of people. As for me, I'm not going anywhere. As I mentioned in my post a while ago, I've got some footage now to make several more Magia Record videos, including but not limited to: Battle Museum meme comps, capped characters vs. Paradox Battle, capped character damage cap challenges for Raid Eve, Kuro vs. Despair witch(es), and a special mini-series I've been secretly working on. Hopefully these, and some potential meme compilations, will be enough to tide everyone over until Exedra releases. If anything, I may have to hurry to finish it all before then, ha ha.
