Magic❤.
Thank you, it's very kind of you to say so! I appreciate it very much. <3
Really nice rendition. If I could just give a few pointers - the word 'zdes' ('here') should be pronounced with a Z at the beginning rather than a S. While the piano playing was superb, I thought it was perhaps a little perfunctory at the end whereas it could have been slower (at 1:50 to 1:52) and with more feeling (so as to do justice to the really beautiful singing). Was that a high c at the highest point?? Unbelievable.
This is actually stunning, Pam. My favourite I’ve watched while I’ve been stalking your channel. X
Beautiful ♥️
Vintage Pam!!! I absolutely love this. You are absolutely beautiful. X
Amazing performance!
Bravo! What an amazing performance! Your God given talent is really great! I think you'd easily nail it in Sessions Live too. ^_^
Stunning xxx
Beautiful Pam! <3 Merry Christmas xo
Hi, Hi, Hi - Hi guys, welcome to the internet. I am so happy to see you xxxx
beautiful!
Wow, your voice is maturing! It's beautiful.
Amazing perfromance Pam! :))
Brava!
Amazing. Just amazing.
Hands down, the best rendition I've heard. Such a soulful performance!
Glad to see people from ANU music school before it had died. Great singing, lovely dress, all the best, fellow ANU student but from the jazz school. Keep up the singing.
Exquisite!
I have just come across your recording of Rorem's song - simply beautiful. I'm an American composer, and I have just completed a new song cycle (The Blue Symphony) which will premiere next spring in the U.S. I also have many other songs and cycles - might we share and discuss a possible collaboration?
Hi Allen! Thank you so much. Please email me. pmr dot andrews (gmail) Thanks! Look forward to hearing from you.
I like your recital~ you're a good singer~
When I have found this song in a bunch of scores in library, it has immediately reminded on your fab interpretation! :))
This song is soooo beautiful, and you are very musical! Bravo again :)
I sang this song to audition for my state's high school choir years ago and for the life of me I could never find it again to prove to my husband that yes, I do know opera outside of Andrew Lloyd Weber. This version is beautiful, I only wish youtube and your lovely voice had been around to help me with it back in my high school days! :-)
I'm stunned! I love this aria so much and your interpretation and musicality are by far the best I've heard. Your tone is absolutely beautiful and crystal clear.
Thank you! That is so nice of you to say.
I think the whole ending is much more eerie and spooky without the high G. This rendition gave me chills -- excellent.
This is lovely. I love your english diction. Really wonderful, The Black Swan was great.
Wow, thank you! :) I do love Rorem's songs about snakes.
Pure artistry.
Thank you!
BEAUTIFUL!!!!
Enchanting! :))
Thanks for the tip! I'll check it out.
look up this book: "Twentieth Century Art Songs for Recital and Study: Medium Voice" It has the solo version of Black Swan, complete with the "high G" everyone is talking about.
Thank you so much! =)
You have just made my day! =)
I can't describe how breathtaking this rendition is. I've searched all over UA-cam. This is the best.
Than...?
Thank you so much! :)
the piano sounds much better.....
Thank you very much!
Thanks, Cassie! I didn't know about the high G at the end... wasn't in my score! I'll know for next time. ;-) Good luck for your performance!
Ah! I wish I'd known that at the time, that would've been a cooler finish. Never mind. :-) Thanks for filling me in!
In the opera it almost has a reprise afterwards where monica does hit the high G but the original score she's supposed to be cut off by her mother madame flora because she's hearing voices. In a few versions the last note is a high G though.
im singing this for nyssma and the only difference in the score is the last note is the G an octave up. beautiful performance :)
Wow! This is fabulous piece of music, and you sang it great!
Gorgeous! Nicely done!!
Beautiful lyric soprano! Just keep on working as you made an effort till now, you really sound great and a great future is in front of you! Prof.Hicks is an amazing accompanist, brava for both of you!
Beautiful! You sing Rorem well.
