Rowan, Hylan; I had to post because I loved this episode. I may be a bit more sensitive to these kinds of discussions because of the recent election results - and appreciate Hylan’s comment about the double standards, because it was the first thing that came to mind listening to Rowan. But I really appreciate how clearly you both respect women in your discussions. Your sweet spot with this podcast is you’re both, clearly, emotionally mature men who have conversations a bit tamer to what women have in private. I would love to listen to your thoughts in a future episode about how things have changed between men and women over the last 20 years. I’m in Hylan’s generation, and find it so interesting to see how the dynamics between men and women are so different now vs when I was Rowan’s age (90s). The fact that so many women now have resources independently (in the US at least), has changed how women view relationships - and how we will not tolerate things that used to be commonplace in prior years, and expectations feel so much higher. I’ve often talked with friends about how difficult it must be for men to navigate relationship dynamics now. I’ve never met either of you, was forwarded this podcast by my sister - but your discussions are so engaging. I really hope you keep this podcast up. Oh and Rowan? In case you're wondering, your game is definitely your vulnerability and intensity :)
