How To Make a Granny Square on a Skull

Thank you for your patience while I made this video. I had a lot of comments on my No Border Crochet Skull Motif video asking how I did the granny square border, so here it is just in time for Halloween! Check out my other video if you want to know how I made the skull! ua-cam.com/video/9vGRNa7weKw/v-deo.html Happy spooky season everyone!! Edit: Another youtuber pointed out that Crochet Nirvana...
How I Make My Crochet Skulls - No Border Needed!
Переглядів 19 тис.4 роки тому
In this video I will show you how I crochet the skulls for my skull blanket. I got frustrated by the standard skull motif that I found because of the long tail that you had to leave at the top to do the border at the end. The method that I came up with eliminates the need for that pesky border, and saves time and frustration. I hope you find it helpful!

I've gotta say, i made this while recovering from a disease, half the time i had to stop because my body couldn't move an inch, not even a finger, nodded off a few times in between, have only been crocheting fro the last few months and STILL it turned out cute! Though I don't know how I accidentally had an extra stitch in my rows but still turned up with one hole too little in the end for the drawstrings, but it is barely noticeable and I'm happy with the result :-D

That is about the size they should be. I made them so they fit a couple sets of dice. If you want to make yours bigger then add another row or two to the base before building up the sides

You may be able to add another row with increases to the iris color and adjust the following rows from there, but it may get a bit tricky. I do have another dice bag tutorial that is more basic and will be easier to size up.

Your skull is WAAAY easiest of any tutorials that I've found on UA-cam. And... in my opinion has the best "loox", BY FAR!! Meaning, the most symmetrical shapes of the skull itself and the eyes and then best definition of the teeth. I would use this pattern over any other ones. Thank you for your creation!!!
