Stunning Cockpit view of a Boeing 737-800 Aircraft landing at Cape Town International Airport.
A raw version (Cockpit view) of a Boeing 737-800 landing at Cape Town (FACT). The video starts with the aircraft turning downwind of the airport on its final approach plan. The co-pilot (First Officer), disconnects the auto pilot and and flies this spectacular approach and lands on runway 19. An absolutely beautiful calm day to fly with a view of the Mother City (Cape Town) and the majestic Table mountain in the backdrop. Enjoy, comment, like and subscribe.

Aircraft cockpit Oopsie!
Переглядів 4,4 тис.2 роки тому
In this video of various cockpits we get a tiny glimpse into what the pilots see, and what it means. We also see what they use to program their flight plans into.....I called it Aircraft cockpit Oopsie!! cause I'm making viewers look for a piece of paper that is clearly not there....(Sorry). I used the wrong pic....But if there was a thin strip of paper, What would it be...Pretend its there.......

As an ex member of 35 SQN, although not my best video ever. There are so many tales of crew camaraderie that I can not even begin to talk about.....Just join and like(please) and thank you....The members of this elite time in aviation are becoming few and far between. They are our past heroes as are the guys long before them. Pioneers in aviation. A different Breed. They are almost all gone now...

This all has to then be done in reverse and over again once you land..
So, I read a story about someone sneaking into a wheel well. Chicago to Maui. Apparently he died. I am wondering if he was crushed or died from exposure in the air. I'm guessing crushed. care to weigh in?
Nice view from the cockpit & good landing at the airport 👍🏻
Really authentic
So, which bits of this approach/landing were edited out ? One can clearly see that this aircraft was heading right downwind as if they would turn base and land on 01, yes ?? Also, how old is this footage as opening shots show BA and Kalula 737's ??
This video was filmed in mid October 2024...... The final waypoint was GETEN...(Greyton)....Just other side of Elgin...(find a map).....or google earth.... We then turned right( KInda north)toward Robin Island(was RIV).. then left(west Iesh) with table moutain clearly in view with the harbor and town. Then left (almost south) again to line up with runway....nothing was edited out.....and for the first screen....look at my other vids...there are a few with the same opening shot.
Is this a SAFAIR 737?
Is this Waterkloof AFB?
That sounds like a saffa accent🙂
Love your voice all very clear to me 👏🏻👏🏻good teacher👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻fly safe
Does anyone know if the cheetah had independent start up capabilities?
Great video! came to see it since I have the 737 PMDG flight simulator on my PC. Whenever I startup the airplace from Cold and Dark i love going through all the procedures :) even the weather test. Though the IRSs I can choose for them to start almost immideately. All this is very familiar to me. I have the SimBrief from Navigraph which uploads all my flight data to the PERF/INIT page and ROUTE. Lots of fun !! Oh and i am also an Aircraft Maintenance student :) .... Cheers
awesome
Thank you for the video, it’s helping me a lot. Keep them coming.
thanks for your video very helpful for TR on 737 ❤️
Thanks for taking the time to show me. It's really cool to watch it done in real life as opposed to just the simulator that I fly.
I will always envy the airbus pilots....pilots period, for all of the preparations they have to know, and how to call-out to tower control what information they need, and for the pilots to understand what the tower control tell them, at a fast pace of talk. To even know what the controls do in the cockpit, to what to do in an emergency.....for sure they need to get paid good!
Literally made zero sense, your point, go envy them why are you watching this video which explains what real pilots do!
@@aviationn6362well said !
@@aviationn6362go watch airbus videos !
But this is a Boeing aircraft video?
they are both planes buddy, boing is even harder to startup proving he is a pilot and knows what hes doing better than airbus
wow i can fly a 737 lol
Flight simmers would make such statement
@Test.Unknown 🫡😭😎
@Test.Unknown well they can but it will be on normal conditions...the moment something happen like a failure or extreme weather they won't know what to do...and the landing will be hard 😅
@nawnaw4709 hehe yea lol 🤣🤣
the Cheetah lives on "Draken International - During December 2017, it was announced that the company would buy and operate 12 ex-South African Air Force Cheetahs as an adversarial aircraft for training military pilots."
Is it hot inside?
Wonderful and soothing voice, feeds the mind, heart and soul ❤ Greetings from Switzerland 🇨🇭
Do you have videos how to do the Nav Data Update for Boeing and Airbus? Thanks
this looks like a giant mess. Compared to airbus is like engineer got drunk and installed all of these fancy switches and gauges in that boeing lol
It’s because it’s not all computerized like Airbus, it is still computerized though. Boeing relies on pilots more than airbus with the plane. That is why I personally like Boeing more.
what? Do a little research on 737 history and how type rating certification process works. What a stupid comment
Absolutely, it is a 60-year-old design. Even the MAX doesn't hold a candle compared to Airbus in terms of ergonomics and user interface.
@@ttrcatbus this may sound weird but I personally like it. It makes you feel so smart when you figure it out. It’s honestly pretty imple just looks hard
@@ReidMichael-ip3oy Simple, yes. The core systems are very similar between Airbus and Boeing as I’m sure you’re aware. Airbus just takes human factors into account much better than Boeing.

Came here just to listen to the 737's standby altimeter clicks. They don't have those in the MAX anymore
Kicking the fuel line at 1:00 - what a joke of a crew
Can't believe there is no redundancy for such a key component. Difficult but it could be done
Thank you so much, this was indeed interesting to see and hear as well.Just love the sound of the startup. But also interesting to know how the APU system works.Thank you.
Was he spraying fuel in the intake
Not in the intake, but you mean afterburner ?
@Dezzy-e8b no, he picked up the hose and sprayed it in the intake to start it.
@chrishilbilly probably first start in a while maybe
I was literally predicting each step thanks to my simming experience. THANKS XPLANE!!
These beauties were a match for the F-16 in their time.
Wow, came for the 737, stay for the voice!
Beautifull 737❤❤
I find it surprising that I understand most, if not all of the systems just from playing x plane
Same 😅
What’s the optical eyepiece on the eyebrow window?
its not an eyepiece, its a light that you can adjust
Tower control: You are cleared for take-off🎉🎉🎉
MAX cockpit is identical as far as cockpit switchgear and C/Bs for the exception of MDS
Good video. So the Left Aft Fuel pump is left in on postion when going cold and dark?
It's been a while since I flew the 737, but the fuel pumps will only be powered with AC power to the aircraft (so, ground power, APU or engine Gens on). So when AC power is removed, the fuel pump will be unpowered anyway, as can be seen here with the 'Low Pressure' amber light on until the APU gen is on the bus (so no harm leaving the switch on really). The APU will suction feed without fuel pressure, but it's better to have one of the left main tank pumps on when running the APU on the ground to ensure good fuel supply (the APU fuel is supplied from the left side of the fuel manifold). You can use the left center tank pump as well, but the cockpit has to be manned with center tank pumps running, so engineers especially, who will likely leave the cockpit unmanned, will use the left tank pump. And the reason for using the AFT pump in the left main tank in the -800 is that it has lowest pickup of the two. The APU should be operated for a two minute warm up period before using it as a bleed air source as well, something to bear in mind. I personally always moved the switch to the off position when it was intended to be off (as opposed to just letting it be unpowered). But there's very little harm doing it this way in practice. To answer your question: no, it's not standard to leave it in the on position. In practice however, it doesn't make a difference really - if you powered the aircraft with ground power however, the pump would switch on and run for no useful reason though if you didn't check the pump switches.
Not quite understanding the disrespect towards the plane's cockpit configuration. This plane is still a modern marvel, even if the cockpit doesn't look like a spaceship... (Even though ironically it still does lol)
Is this music the same that simple flying uses
Is 1722 going to fly again ?
Good Stuff!😀🙌🏽💪🏽
Dankie
Dankie!
Looks so antiquated compared to Airbus APU startup
I thought it was just because I know the airbus better
Thanks for showing I have to fly in a hour 😓
Skinp, guess what, if you are using a flight sim, you don’t *have* to fly
Superb mate, thanking you for sharing 😊
