Dont punch those out. Scan them ! I have been scanning a old, mint, war game for a few days now at 1200dpi, for posterity. And because the print is so small.
I have them in an envelope not all punched out, I was thinking the same thing scan them and then fiddle with them. I have a bunch of supper small Star Frontiers ones I need to do the same with. I need to find scans of the Fantasy Paths ones. I also need to locate copies of the modules that came with Fantasy Oaths & Castle Paths.
I really like the black and white look of the Dungeon. It's simple and evocative of some of the old art. It giving me idea and easy to store and transport over the foam, MDF, and cardboard stuff. Many programs have a tool or option to set the scale, maybe something you overlooked?
@@mykediemart I just have a print option, I sadly need to get a program to open up the pdfs in and design in to set the scale correctly. Just right now using paper size to get it roughly correct… I probably will have to download something

Thank you. I am getting closer to what I want, but not there yet. I am going to keep tweaking my ideas till I get to the super easy to transport and store idea in my head. This is a multi level tower “dungeon” from Arduin. Once I have the protype figured out with a clear style I will expand the ideas I have banging around in my brain pan.

My only source of hex paper back in the day was photocopying the back of the 1st edition Gamma World book. At 10¢ per copy, I didn't get that many sheets...

Yes, mine came earlier this week but I had to wait to do the video. As I wasn’t bringing it to work to shoot on breaks, and Saturday was booked. Like I said hubby wants maps framed which is never ever something he says! He knew nothing about this Kickstarter too, and requested one of the extra perk copies! Hubby approves lads!

I don't remember the XP rules changing with 2e -- memory like a steel sieve! Always played it so XP was awarded for monsters, treasure + DM's discretion
@@grumpyoldslan I think that was pretty common… but looking between the guides changes had happened. With Treasure now Optional

Great tips! I buy a fair number of old used books, and they sometimes have the musty smell. I have the same 1943 printing of that very book.

@@lauramumma2360 Mmm...I'll be looking forward to hearing how those recipes turn out. It's actually a pretty good cookbook, although the recipes might seem a bit old-fashioned to some. I was fortunate to have received my copy as a gift from someone who knew I like old books and cooking.

I am paying attention to your historic look at XP - I was a Redbox to AD&D with other rpg influences, and a lot of home brew. So I think my experience is unique as I cobbled a system together.
