Having a large bed in the middle of the cabins = It's very comfortable to stay and live in the port! But stay in port with a Halberg Rassy of more than 50 "and more than a shame! So I can still tell you that from experience that on long passages in rough and short seas = on your large in Ilo bed you go from side to side. and often we have to use the saloon bench to sleep, or lie down on the flo between these large beds and the wall !? So why not put double beds in the cabins !? Because in addition = if you have crew for long passages, we can't ask everyone to kindly sleep in the same bed! I think a large corner bed or made in the transverse of the boat for the owner's cabins would be an idea or at least having two cabins with more double bunk beds is also possible !? On boats from 44 "to 64" it is not a problem of space! Note that a sailor's cabin on a large unit is very useful for an owner an help to dock the boat, wash the boat back to port, load and unloading goods and various materials, filling up with fuel and water, emptying the oil engine, on long passages and in bad weather only helping the owner is more than necessary and much more still. It's only my idea, and when we ask in the boat show why there is no cabin with double bed, we are told that the boat works by pushing buttons and that we do not need a Crew! = YES okay! but as I said above = we can not all do with buttons! Having Hallberg Rassy 64 and Amel 60 to stay in port only to take advantage of their large double bed in Ilo = once more is a shame !! Thank you for your opinion

€ 1,579,900.00 for the boat and € 300,181.00 for the schmucks living on public dough in Deutschland? You pay them 19% value added tax, then they turn around and charge you a ton of other fees and taxes for a bunch of more papers you somehow need from them in order to sail the darn thing? No wonder no one wants to buy boats and register them in the EU countries !!! That place it’s the greatest ripoff that ever was !!!! And that goes for all of these “developed nations” which are nothing more than “The Land of the Fee and Home of the Slave !” I wonder how much of that € 1,679,900.00 euros that Hallberg Russy charges for that boat actually goes into those crazy taxes towards the government of Sweden???? Could it actually be conceivable that about half of the cost of everything you buy actually is tax,for which you also have to pay a VAT when you purchase it? Probably it acummulates to more than half the cost of everything if you’re to calculate all the fees and taxes payed by everyone who supplies Hallbert Russy with materials and energy. It’s more like 2/3 to 3/4 of every single dollar, euro or whatever earned is being confiscated in taxes by our governments. Do we all really exist on this earth only to work and support this class of schmucks called “politicians” and “government bureaucrats”? Imagine a world with no more power hungry lying politicians, no more hustling government bureaucrats, no more out of control greedy elites with their suffocating banks and corporations enslaving us all !!! Then most of us working stiffs would be able to afford one of these H-R 57s after 35 years of work. 55 should be the age of retirement if you accumulated a minimum of 35 years in the workforce and those who would like to get in a sailboat and go cruising the world should be able to do so. It shouldn’t be a thing only for the schmucks who struck it lucky !!!! Instead, we’ve got the retirement eligibility at 65 and most are no better off financially after 47 years of slaving away then when they stranded, and that’s if cancer didn’t get you before 65. By then you’re too beaten up and got too darn many aches and pains to even think about getting a boat and go sailing. Maybe if you were a stinking bureaucrat till 65, then you’re still in good shape but, if you worked your ass off in a mine, a oil drilling platform, some chemical plant or stiffened up behind the steering wheel of a big rig truck and enduring -40*C in the winters and 43*C in the summers while loading or unloading, or fixing the darn thing on the side of the road, then it’s a challenge even making it to 65, let alone doing shyit after that !

This boat with a smartly engineered and esthetic hardtop bimini which should come with 360 curtain protection of the whole cockpit and helms area for those nasty, wet and cold days and nights when sailing in the ,,roaring forties”, might just be the perfect 57 footer for live onboard cruisers after all !!! Wow, from what one could see in a video, it looks so, so classy but, it would’ve looked one hundred percent better with a mahogany finish instead of that ikea look of the euro oak ! For me personally, it’s gotta be either mahogany or teak ! No compromises !

Nice boat. I wish the interior was as exciting as the exterior. We had a 35s5 and now have a 393. This big First series would be a great step up if the interior wasn't so stark and cold looking.

I do not understand that the washing/dryer is located in the master bedroom shower! In all of the "older" versions" the vashing/dryer" further in front.

funny, no one ever shows or asks where the fresh water tank is located and how accessible it is for cleaning. i saw another youtube video where someone needed to clean out the water tank (an oceanis i think) and one of the hatches was blocked by a structural wooden brace that turned a one hour job into an all day affair, hey yacht reviewers! how about some words on how accessible and repairable are things like plumbing, power lines, and fuel and fresh water tanks..
