Closed edge cast on
This method isn't suitable for all machines (your machine needs to have weaving brushes) but is a useful quick cast-on if you want to secure stitches at the bottom.

✅ Edge is finished and won’t unravel
✅ Can also be used to gather the edge
✅ Can also be used when edge is to be picked up e.g. hems or for swatches
❌ Only suitable for machines with weaving brushes
❌ The edge isn't nice/strong enough for permanent finish
