The road to adventure with a rookie rider.
I did a beginners ADV training day.
A beginners ADV offroad motorcycle training day with www.enmotoporcanarias.com. I was riding my Yamaha Tenere. The video is shot fully in POV, there is alot of Spanish speaking and im not fluent in Spanish but I put subtitles on the parts I understood. In the next video I will be doing the "ADVANCED" training day so expect some spills. #adv #yamaha #yamahatenere700 #advmoto

Sorry i got the wrong results I clicked on the Motul Original category on the Dakar website... After making this video I have noticed. Overall TOBIAS EBSTER was 20th. RICKY BRABEC was FIRST 6HRS 46MIN FASTER! Average speed of 91.8kph. My track he would complete in 1min 10 seconds It is insane! But i think the video can still demonstrate the scary speed these guys ride at. I made a little desert...

My second time riding enduro moto with Juan and Aytha. Juan lent me his 2 stroke KTM 250 EXC again and took me to another enduro spot to hit some hill climbs. Cheers Juan. Juan is riding a Rieju 300 2 stroke. I rode it for 5 mins and crashed it. Aytha is riding a Sherco 250 stroke. #ktm #2stroke #250exc #sherco #rieju #enduro #hillclimb

Big up to Juan . You got some great land to play on there. Just keep training.... although i expect Juan will want his bike back eventually. 😄

For your entertainment:-)
Well done mate. Brilliant. You went from Rookie to Redbull Romaniacs in about 25 minutes. 😃 You certainly looked very confident and capable on that bike. Decent fella lending you his machine. 👊
Thanks. Haha its a different machine than the T7 feels like a BMX. helps a lot following people with more experience bit of a cheat code to improvement.
@@JoshMotoAdventures its not cheating.... its how we all learn. 👏👊👍
War wounds on the new bike bro

250 2stroke, what a beast!
Hello Josh... Another great adventure.... and you made it out alive. Yayyy. Good riding. Like you say in the video the camera simply doesn't show steepness, depth of dips or heights of step ups. You did well on those tricky sections. Tyre Pressures. I'm sure your T7 tyres are tubed so try researching recommended off road pressures. On my FE501 I used to run 14 psi rear and 12 psi front. Really its about running them as low as feels right for your terrain without hitting the rims on rocks and edges etc. If that happens you run risk of rim damage or pinching the tube. When you run lower pressure it will smooth out the ride a bit too on all that stoney ground. It will definitely provide a larger contact patch to the ground to give better traction. Give it a try and see how you go. 🙂👊 Also... remember to have a plan to rescue you should that be needed. Punctures, crashes, break downs. 👍 You're certainly right about that feeling of freedom out there. Keep being free. See you next time. 👊👋
Thanks Steve. I've got some new shoes on the Tenere ready for the weekend now. Going to have to experiment with pressures see what works. Deffo a lot of rim dinging rocks where I am so don't want to go to soft on 200kg bike. I do carry a bottle of slime, a pump and a Gerber just incase, hope thats enough to get me out to a road for rescue if needed. As close as free as we can be isn't it
I watched it all. 😂 Well done. 1st class for your first time ever. Be proud. 👊 Advice for you. Keep going... it all takes time. Get some body armour and protect the most important thing you own. Your body and limbs. If your undecided if you need it, stand still and then just dive head first into a bunch of them rocks. Yep... it hurts like fek. You mentioned not enough speed. That will come with time but dont push it. Have your first proper crashes at slow speeds. Its less devastating than high speed crashes. Well done though buddy. You did great and knew your limits. Did i detect a west country accent?😂
@@stevesvids Cheers Steve. Fair play for watching it all it is a movie! Thanks for the tips. I know speed makes it easier from my MTB days but on this beast I don't have the confidence yet. One day.... And you do I'm from Somerset
@@JoshMotoAdventures your base knowledge from MTB is a great leg up. Cool. Enjoy the beasty. 😎👊
Great job. DO NOT BE AFRAID TO KEEP YOUR SPEED OVER 40K. The slower you go, the harder you will have to work
Ready for 'Dakar' josh!😂
Give anything a go once 😂
Never give up 😀
