We kept a running list and just tried making one video per week during COVID to help our local students (and others!) improve their English one idiom at a time. I had a student in China who wanted to learn the difference between two similar pronunciations - pool and pull. She had me close my eyes and listen to her say each word MANY MANY times until I could tell which word she was saying. It really helped her train her ear to hear the difference as well as training her mouth to feel the difference. If you have a native English speaker to practice with, you may ask to do a similar exercise with the "ing" ending. Keep working at it! The goal in all of our free English programs is to help our students become clearer in their communication and better at understanding native speakers. The best way to do that is to hang out with people who speak English.
