    TLDR: Understanding and managing churn rate is essential for SaaS companies to enhance profitability and growth by addressing customer needs and improving engagement and support. 00:00 📉 Churn rate, the percentage of customers leaving a SaaS product, is a critical metric that impacts revenue, acquisition costs, and overall business growth, but understanding its causes can help mitigate its effects. 01:09 💰 Churn significantly affects SaaS growth by impacting cash flow, customer acquisition costs, and lifetime value, often due to unmet expectations or poor support. 02:16 📊 Calculating churn rate involves dividing the number of lost users by the total users, while considering factors like the timing of cancellations and the chosen time frame for accurate insights. 03:06 📊 Churn rates for SaaS companies typically range from 5% to 7% annually, influenced by revenue growth, with high-growth firms experiencing lower churn. 03:57 📊 Larger SaaS companies maintain lower churn rates by targeting enterprise clients with long-term contracts, while smaller firms face higher churn due to shorter contracts and monthly billing. 05:14 📉 Reducing churn rate is crucial for SaaS companies, aiming for a target of three to five percent annually to ensure profitability and growth. 06:02 🔍 Understand your ideal customers and engage them from the start to reduce churn and ensure your product meets their needs. 06:55 📉 Churn is manageable with a 5-7% benchmark, focusing on user engagement and improving customer service to reduce it.

    TLDR: Successful SaaS businesses should prioritize essential financial KPIs, particularly customer acquisition cost (CAC) and customer lifetime value (LTV), to ensure profitability and sustainable growth. 00:00 📊 Focus on essential financial KPIs for SaaS to effectively track and improve your business performance. 00:53 📊 Measure success by ensuring each customer generates more revenue than their acquisition cost to achieve positive unit economics. 01:31 📊 Customer acquisition cost (CAC) and customer lifetime value (LTV) are essential KPIs for evaluating the profitability of a subscription-based business model. 02:05 📈 Customer lifetime value (LTV) is crucial for assessing business success, and a healthy LTV to customer acquisition cost (CAC) ratio should exceed one to ensure profitability. 02:52 📈 Successful SaaS businesses must achieve a strong ratio of customer lifetime value to acquisition cost, focusing on unit economics over less critical metrics. 03:25 📈 Tracking monthly recurring revenue (MRR) and its churn is essential for assessing business sustainability and planning for future growth. 04:03 📈 Use metrics like MRR and churn to set clear goals and assess the effectiveness of growth strategies in your SaaS business. 04:42 📊 Focus on meaningful results rather than becoming obsessed with metrics, as illustrated by the Wells Fargo scandal.

    Wait, you said 10 heuristics but presented only 9.. or am I wrong?

    • @eleken.agency
      @eleken.agency 3 місяці тому

      @@gabrie504 Hey! Thanks for your comment and for being so attentive when watching our video. You’re right, there are actually ten heuristics in total. The thing is, we decided to combine a couple of related points (5th and 9th heuristics) to keep things brief and save some time. The two heuristics we grouped together are about errors. Number five is all about stopping errors before they happen, while number nine focuses on helping users figure out and fix mistakes if they do end up making them. Hope that clears things up! Let me know if you have any other questions.

    2:29 "take a look at the hi-fi wireframes and finalized design", "wireframe looks pretty similar to the final version" - no? the top image you displayed here does not look like a hi-fi wireframe, which (according to several other sources) should be "a close representation of the final design" and is "often indistinguishable from the final design in terms of layout" - which that top image is definitely not? I'm trying to understand the terminology and wonder if you put in the wrong image here? what I've seen from other sources, your top image resembles what is most commonly referred to as a "mid fidelity wireframe" - it doesn't have the right colors or spacing etc. it's all pretty confusing - I don't get the impression that designers really agree on this terminology? from what I've seen, the bottom image in your example here is often describes as either a "high fidelity wireframe", a "mockup", a "protype" or a "final design" - I've never seen what's in the top image here described as a "high fidelity wireframe". I just don't think designers really agree on these terms, do you?
