This is very interesting to watch thank you for sharing! I joined BA as Heathrow cabin crew in November 2022, very much after the heyday of aviation on most accounts! Wish I could go back in time to experience things just as they were back then, especially pre 9/11 flying.

Worked for BA in NYC as ground staff late 90s - good times for the airline industry and BA. Left to work for the U.K. NHS in 2022. Very different world I must say .

Most of the passengers haven`t a bloody clue what`s even happening, too busy with their headphones on...good job it`s not any kind of emergency.

Great memories Dallas. Please keep this video here don’t remove it. These were the happiest times for sure. I was WW CC at Ba from 1994 to 2020, and the best times were curiously the rod eddington years (1998-2007j and also perhaps 2012-2015 …

Thanks Alex, I ended up as a CSD and resigned in 2016. I hate them now and they hate me. They banned me from flying on their fleet of toxic aircraft for 10 years 😂

Oh well you now , I followed you just 3 years later. There is a much different and new life outside . My body was saying no to any more flying anyway. Sick all the time at the end…. Glad to know you’re stil kicking and enjoying life. 😅

These were definitely the best years tho. The Rod Eddington years. Relative peace and they left us alone. Overall.

When the BA was still the world's favourite airline, by the way Dallas what year this was filmed? Guessing by the uniform it must be pre-2003? Where could I get more videos like this?

I don’t get it….why are those people that can’t just get on the plane, take their seat and behave themselves to their destination. Instead they disrupt everyone else’s travel plans. This is why there should be several rolls of duct tape on every flight.

He was the worst thing that ever happened to BA - and they still haven't recovered. Side comment: I flew First to Hong Kong a few years back. I had a starter with prawns where they actually SLICED the prawns in half LENGHTWAYS and laid them on the plate so it looked like you had 6 prawns but actually, it was only 3! Who the fuck masters the art of cutting prawns in half lengthways - oh yeah, chefs hand-picked by Cruz...................they must have saved a fortune on the cost of prawns.

Amazing captain and crew. The unruly passenger needs to be put on a "no fly" list and a "no travel" list, and sent to an insane mental asylum.

  • @djm5k

All planes should be fitted with a jail cell on board to place unruly passengers in until the plane lands so as not to disrupt the flight.

The passengers responded appropriately to the calm demeanor of the crew as well. Far from some situations in which travelers escalate the situation with infantile banter.

I think the female flight attendant at the end of the video got it wrong, actually. Rather than asking the passengers to turn off their phones (i.e. to stop filming what was happening) they should just carry on and get as much evidence of the perpetrator as possible. Of course they want to protect the aircrew from unwanted criticism about so-called rough treatment but it can be seen that they were dealing with the unruly passenger very well, despite his ridiculous yelling. For my money, I think they should have an unwanted passenger ejection system to dump him out over the ocean - job done!

I flew quite a lot. Nothing major ever happened. The only thing that sticks in mind is this one journey when our plane took off from London Heathrow heading to the middle east. Ten minutes after flying the captain announced that he was told to turn and go back to London. He explained that he himself doesn't know why he was asked to do so. At that point none of us on board had any idea that among us there was a man who killed someone in London, escaped and got on the plane heading back home. This happened years ago but I always remember it and imagine how happy and relieved he was when the plane finally took off and we were flying in the air. He thought he successed in escaping and was safe finally. I think how the captain's announcement didn't carry any weight to us passengers other than it meant some delay. However, to him this announcement meant the difference between life and death, prison and freedom. I would have loved to know what went in his brain after the announcement. Needless to say that when we landed back in London armed police holding huge guns swarmed the aeroplane. I never saw an armed policeman in the UK before that. They spent a long time looking everywhere even the toilets. They took turns - one would comb the aeroplane pointing his gun at everyone then another one would come and start the search all over again. The criminal surrendered like a lamb the minute they boarded. They headed towards him immediately. But it turned out he had an accomplice in the murder so they were looking for him as well.
