I install a "carbon fiber" steering damper on my Vsett 10 that I purchased from minimotors on aliexpress (Link below) . The brackets and damper both have some weight to them and seem to be of good quality. Got it in a little over a week with expedited shipping. Hello bro, nice video apresciat it, can you send me the link coz on ali express i asked one saller he told me it is not ok for vsett 10,,, so i don't know wich one to take Link please Thank you again
Hb875e zoom brakes on Amazon I bought it fits perfectly same exact ones bro
Thanks for making this video, ?I have to replace my zoom break on my dualtron achilleus and I was not sure which is the electronic wire and whice was the hydualic one. Most of all I didn't have the plug and play for the electronic brake wire and was worried I would need to cut and solder them on. Seeing they screw off so easy will make my brake replace a breeze.
Please link 🙂
bro is nice video but i dont see what your doing..
Yo bro i just recently got the vsett 10+ Nyc tooo. What upgrade have you done to your scooter?
Hello is that under warranty ? My thumb throttle broke but u can still drive it manually pushing throttle up or down kinda dangerous tho .
Bro I think you got the damper on backwards. Unless the shorter version only fits that way?
Do you still love the scooter? How often have you had to change the tires/tubes? And do you need a steering dampener? (I'm in NYC too)
Yup its a great scooter only had to change the throttle that stopped working. I have over 1500 miles on it never changed tire or got a flat (knock on wood) only changed the brake pads. Front tire is worn and in need of replacement. Steering damper is not really needed. I would like to also change the suspension. Front one sucks
@@escoot_nyc1651 My HiBoy S2 Pro has served me very well omen the streets here in NYC... but after a little over a year, I'm looking to get something a little faster with better suspension
Hey Buddy My old stomping ground’s Papi ride careful . Those knuckleheads drive crazy down there. Went to 321 , 51, Sarah J Grew up on President St 2 nd St 5 Ave playing paddle ball on 4 Ave and 3rd St Now it’s the Gayest place on earth. Anyway got my eye on a Kaabo Wolf Gt Good luck to ya!
Nice! I was tempted to get the gt too but wife wouldn't let me lol. Let me know if you get one we can ride
@@escoot_nyc1651 Sure thing 👍I’ll hit you up .Be safe.
My old stomping ground’s I went to 321 51 and Sarah J playing paddle ball in Washington park which is 3rd st and 4th Ave recently renovated Raised in President St 5th Ave
The holes on the front bracket of mine were drilled in correctly. That's a bummer
Same
If those set screws on the front where the front bracket goes gives you a hard time, use liquid wrench or something. Penetrating oil.
Where did you buy the deck cover? Does it affects the grip? Thanks! :) great videos
Hey bro what is the size of the small bolt in front?
Hey bro what is the size of the small bolt in fri
So no need to remove deck cover?
Just wow!You really need eyes all around to stay alive in that jungle, there are people and dangers everywhere.I live in the country and ride on almost deserted country roads,I see a car or a spandex guy once in a while that s about it,in your environment I d be dead in less than a week.Great video!
Nice video bro. Do you have a link?
eScoot_NYC would you purchase Vsett 10 + again if you were looking for E. Scooter ? Have you had any problems with your Vsett ?
My replacement throttle just went bad (replaced because the original cracked in a fall). A wire inside came loose from a bad soldering job. Replacement throttles are cheap. Other than that shes going strong after 1k+ miles. If you can afford it I would say it is a good choice, no regrets just the same that you would get from purchasing any $2300 scooter from time to time. Lol
@@escoot_nyc1651 yeah i was thinking about Vsett 10 +R but i will probably purchase the new Dualtron Blue Tran Lightning instead . $ 3.500 is all i want to spend. Thanks for your reply Bro.
Nice video.. thanks 4 share.
Just recieved mine a week ago.. NW freezing 🥶. N ❄ snow.. heading your way friends.. Get good gloves n waterproof socks.. drone follow above n behind about 35 ft.. what I'm thinking 🤔.
Just got this scooter and took it out one time noticed crazy speed wobble could only ride once as it’s now winter here and freezing+ snow did you get this for the same reason? I haven’t heard really of anyone else dealing with this al though I have heard of people getting a bounce in the tire at higher speeds which I didn’t notice but couldn’t really get going fast enough without the wobble was really not confident going above 45km or so which I did about 65np when I had a zero 10x.
It is most likely the big main stem bolt that goes in from underneath the stem, its either too tight or too loose. In my opinion if you get the torque right you dont need a steering damper on the Vsett 10+. Theres a video on You Tube on greasing the stem to avoid creaking that teaches you how to loosen the main stem bolt, Sorry no link. Hope this helps your wobble issue, Ride safe!
Damn you ballin on that scooter! I think this might be my next purchase I got a Segway max just for going to work!
Thanks, Segway max is a tank for commuting. Ride Safe
Was the crack having an effect on your acceleration?
No but the throttle had alot of play. You dont want your throttle moving around while your going 40mph
@@escoot_nyc1651 True! I had an issue where my Vsett9+ would accelerate everytime I released the breaks. Without me even touching the throttle. I'm guessing It has a malfunction inside, so I took it off and ordered a new one. Hopefully that fixes the problem.
Other than lighting.. thanks for the video.. I've been debating on buy this scooter.
Thanks yeah I know lighting sucks. I would definitely recommend it I have over 1000 problem free miles on it.
Just got mine today. It's so much more fun to ride than the Varla Eagle One
its a BEAST of a scooter. Im still getting used to it. I have a hiboy sr2 pro to compare it to. people on the street, once they see it, either they say: "damn" or "kewl scooter dude". its a little on the heavy side.
Can you disable the NFC reader? So the scooter turns on without a card
No you would have to replace the whole throttle to one that doesn't have an NFC reader.

Agonisingly slow video
1 thumb down. I wonder who could it be 🤔. Change the channel budy. You commented the same on my other video but you keep coming back
@@escoot_nyc1651 Sorry Mate, I just gave my honest opinion. I'll try not to give any constructive criticism next time
Is the purpose of this so you don't turn the wheel too fast at high speeds?
It's to avoid speed wobbles when riding fast ( which the vsett10 really doesn't have a problem with) Also to avoid wobbles when hitting a pothole at a high rate of speed. Ride safe
Which battery version is this ? The 25 ah or 28 ah?
The 25 ah version
I got the black one from this site and it leaked oil after the first ride. Not happy! Have emailed them, now waiting for a reply.
Thats sucks I've had mine for over 2 months and no issues, you really dont need a steering damper on the vsett10 if you adjust the main stem bolt from underneath just right
Ok I will not get the damper 👍
Don't tighten the clamp too much. It's a known issue.
I work at Coney Island ordering my Varla eagle one this week can’t wait
can we change Zoom levers to Nutt levers without changing Zoom calipers? I would prefer Nutt because they hyro reservoir is smaller and you can get throttle closer, for more comfortable position
No they wouldn't be compatible, you would need to change the whole brake kit. Nutt kit is better for the throttle position and also better quality all around. I will be upgrading mine in the future once the nutt or magura kit become available for the vsett10. Ride safe
@@escoot_nyc1651 hello Escoot. Someone broke the rear brake cable for my Vsett 10+. Do you know any hydraulic brake set I can use to change it?
imo steer dampener is designed for wrong side of the wheel, hitting engine cables
Yeah this scoot is a shitshow, everything was designed incorrectly like this one, another thing was the split hub, who thought is was a good idea to install the removable rim on the motor cable side?!
Totally irresponsible to operate this vehicle around pedestrians and cyclists at these speeds. If you’re going to drive that fast then move over to the vehicle lanes. I’m sure the city didn’t intend the pedestrians/cyclist lane to be the high speed scooter lane.
In Portugal we have to ride the 25kmh ++ in vehicle lanes.
Steering damper is a completely useless thing and investment! Just tighten the main screw in the middle of the handlebars and tune the rigidity of the handlebar rotation to your liking. Access to the screw is from below, so you don't have to disassemble anything!
You are some what right atleast for the vsett10 you really dont need a damper. I did torque the main stem bolt from underneath ( when I took the stem apart to grease it) I noticed too loose you get wobble, too tight same thing. I got it just right and marked the spot with a paint marker. I did take a fall afterwards going pretty fast making a turn hit a pothole.(My own fault). After that incident but truthful mostly for the looks I decided to get a steering damper. I always keep it on 3 stiffness, it goes all the way up to 16. At 3 you really dont feel the difference that much.
You mean under the stem? Such a big Allen key is not included in the box with the scooter, right? You do mean that one?
@@escoot_nyc1651 where are you guys finding that screw? Is it the very big one under the stem? I can't seem to find an Allen key for this one.
@@rbmanb Yes it is the big one underneath the stem, I believe it is a 10mm allen key. First you have to loosen 2 little screws on each side of the stem that prevents the main bolt from moving. Don't use there allen keys they are garbage.
@@escoot_nyc1651 thank for that! So the tiny screws first, and then the huge one. Got it. Loosen it up about how much?
Yoo u look like your not suppose to be doin that...Good luck Ride safe
Its a very simple process. Take out bolts put in bolts. I've been working on my own cars for years, brakes, starters, timing belts. This in comparison to that is childs play. Ride safe.
can you steer to the left fully without cable being pinched by that dumper?
You can steer almost all the way left and right. No cables get pinched when you set up the damper correctly, there is a bump stop built in. It does restrict the turns a little more than without it which only really affects you when trying to make a u turn in a really tight spot you have to keep going back and forth. On a regular turn you actually turn mostly by leaning so no restrictions there. Ride safe
Hi eScoot great video my friend. Have you done a range test on your vsett and how many miles?
I haven't done a real range test. But I've gotten 20-30 miles easily with more than half the battery left. I would say you should get a decent 30-40miles on the 25.6ah. I always ride dual motor in 3rd gear pretty hard
@@escoot_nyc1651 Thanks my friend
@@escoot_nyc1651 tomorrow, if not raining, I'll do a legit test with minimal stop and go riding. Same scoot.
