where can I find the problem pdf?

This perfectly explains the lesson I'm reviewing with my child; thank you for making it so simplistic.

I agree!
How is -0.07 +0.15 is 0.55
It doesn't look like that problem is in the video. However, -0.07 + 0.15 is 0.08. if the problem were -0.7 + 0.15, it would be -0.55.
@@SjobergMath thanks mam
May I ask which program you're using that allows you to drag and drop the colored chips?
This is Smart Notebook software
Show how to solve x and get a thumbs up
Huh
What tells you what equation you have with a illistration
Thanks for helping me with my math homework
This helped ty 👍🏾
I'm glad to hear that!
thanks for helping
You're welcome!
Your grading policy is intriguing! Would 2 greens and a yellow as the highest streak be considered a 2/5?
There is definitely some flexibility there! Originally, we were counting two in a row as a full pass. But, we found that three in a row really seemed to mean the kids retained it, even months later. If a kid got two greens and a yellow, I'd probably have a brief conversation with them and see if my sense was that they earned the pass. I never go lower than 2/5.
so basically i just divide by either?
I like to divide the new by the original corresponding side
what app did you use in doing this whiteboard, maam?
I used Smart notebook software
what app did you use using the white board?
This was incredibly helpful. I am in a college class and we were given another video to watch in regards to the charged field model. I was so confused by it. I started researching more and came across this video. Extremely clear and now I get it! My math class is on how to TEACH this to students in the primary grades without them memorizing rules. Excellent video and explanation.
I am so glad this was helpful to you! Thanks for letting me know!

Thanks lots!
So if ( 5 ) is - 5 And l 5 l is 5 ?
|5| is 5, yes. I am not sure what your parentheses symbol means. If it means the opposite of 5 is -5, that is correct.
Can someone simplyify in dumest terms what opposites doing 😀
They are on opposite sides of zero, but the same distance away from zero. So, -3 and 3 are opposites, 11.5 and -11.5, etc. Zero is its own opposite - that's the weird one!
after watching thi im still confused on whats she said 😔
Very clear. Many thanks!
I'm glad it helped!
@@SjobergMath I hope you don't mind that I ask another question. I ran across this problem and I am not sure if it was simply a typo or if I just don't understand. Here it is: 2/7 - 3/8 LCD is 56 16/56 - 21/56 = -5/56 Why is the numerator a negative?
@@TerryC69 since 21 is larger than 16, when you subtract 21 from 16, you will get a negative answer. I hope that helps!
what do you use to draw on the slideshow? Or is it not in Google Slides? Still, interested in doing videos similar to this for my students
Hi Bradley, I have a Wacom Tablet with a pen and I use the chrome extension Page Marker when I want to mark up a slideshow. Hope that helps!

Great video, very well explained, helped out a lot more then everyother video I saw
I am so glad this was helpful to you! I appreciate this feedback!
Thank you so much
I'm so glad it helped you!
Today, I happened upon this video for the very first time. After I read the problem, I paused the video and solved it without using any graphs, coordinates, perpendicular lines or circles. ************* Number the 4 given equations by (1), (2), (3) and (4). (I) Use determinants to "quickly" solve for a and b, in terms of m, from "equations (1) and (2) as a system". (II) As a and b satisfy equations (3) and (4), use the results from (I), I got n = ........ and n = ........., both in terms of m, from equations (3) and (4), respectively. (III) Thus, I got an equation in m alone; solve for m; then, use the results from (I) to get a and b. Coach Sjoberg, have you tried this way?
Though I haven't tried your strategy (I always try to use "elementary" strategies, as Mathcounts problems can theoretically all be solved with no math knowledge beyond Geometry), I absolutely love that you paused the video and worked through the problem on your own! Finding 2 or more methods to solve every problem is an awesome goal! Kudos!
Thanks
I hate you
You sound like a karen
Could you please tell the name of the chapters we learn all this in ? I'm waiting for your reply
If you're using Open Up Mathematics, this corresponds with Unit 2, particularly Lesson 2.3 in 7th grade. Hope this helps!
