On my 01 BoostedXPLR Sport (t-bird supercoupe Eaton m90 s/c) I installed a switch where I can basically disable the viscous clutch in the t-case that goes to the front driveshaft and have rear 2wd low or I can flick the switch back the other way and have 4wd low, but I guess I would like to be able to have low and high on front wheel drive only lol, I just dont see where I would ever need front wheel drive only unless it saved some ⛽ lol, but I'd still like to have the control of an Atlas like this guy. I def need one, it seemed like their was a time where Atlas transfer cases were hard to come by but now apparently they're all over the interweb lol. I prolly won't get one for my supercharged V6 01 explorer sport 2 door but when I get myself an 02 explorer 4.6 V8 4 door I'm definitely getting an Atlas t-case like the one in this video, plus I'll do a 6r80 (with selectshift) swap and a SOHC to DOHC swap plus a supercharger and more so im def gonna need a trans and tcase that can handle some power. Good vid, you explained the operation of this tcase pretty well.

Can you put the front in high range with the rear is neutral?

Much easier to just disassemble the oil pump and realign and stick the tube in. It’s how they did it at the factory and trying to do it with a little stick is some nonsense

Had a shop do my SYE. Drove 467 miles in one month and now it is stuck in 4 Hi. Tried driving slowly forwards and backwards while shifting into 2 Hi with no change. Disconnected the linkage and tried shifting the transfer case manually. No change, still in 4 Hi. Question: If the snap ring holding the gear in place on the shaft is not correctly installed, will the gear move out of position and cause the transfer case to be stuck in 4 Hi? The linkage is not the problem.

Where do you buy the star seal, no one at the auto parts knows what I’m talking about? I’m also having bearing noise from the cage bearing, chanted the fluid, just keeps squawking at low speeds, goes swat after driving it for awhile… also if the transfer case is in nuetral I try spinning that rear yoke, I have to spin it and it doesn’t spin freely, like the bearings are shot

Do the come for an automatic ford 6R80 transmission. Mainly because I have an older bronco and installing the coyote with the 6speed automatic 6R80. And the use of it will be towing boats, going muddying, rock climbing at times not so often, sand and occasional snow. And my differentials gearing is 4.56 front and rear with 35-37 in tires

Good video. One question: the planetary reduction unit on the 4 speed models - which way does the shift lever face for hi/low range? I'm trying to set up my shift patterns and need to know which way the lever faces (towards front or rear). In your video the lever is facing forward (heim joint towards the front) - is that low or hi range? Thanks
