Will founder-led growth hurt your exit?
Your personal founder brand is a great way to grow your business. But how can the company survive when you're ready to exit?
Anna Nadeina and I spoke about this on the saas.group podcast a few weeks ago.
If your company is built around your personal brand, then it won't be as valuable to a potential investor or acquirer. Because they know you won't be around for long after the acquisition.
Don't get me wrong... I still think founder-led growth is a powerful growth strategy that more companies should adopt.
But once you start growing it's important to diversify to additional revenue sources and strategies that depend on the rest of your team.
To put systems in place that generate leads and sales independent of the founder.
This way growth won't be impacted when the founder leaves.

    I have now spent a little over $500 on several adsets and still haven't seen a single lead from conversions. The page I'm sending them to is my home page at tailormade.io. I'm open to the possibility that the page sucks for conversion but it seems like at least some of these people would have converted by now. I've done plenty of lead ads in the past but the quality of those leads suck. I'm a little concerned that I'm wasting money. Thoughts?
