There are some zones where it's good to have a partner. A majority of zones have those quests where an extra person isn't mandatory, but it very helpful. Redridge is one of the few where, despite a couple of quests you can solo, a majority of them are a lot easier and smoother with an extra person, because of the mob density in that zone.

Don't get me wrong, this is a phenomenal game and ABSOLUTELY better than the Ocarina of Time (by just a bit), but Majora's Mask was pathetically easy, especially when you turn into Fierce Deity Link. The least they could've done was give him much more durability and make it to where only Light Arrows could stun it. Make it a really long fight.
