Dinanzi a Orlinsky non ci si può che inchinare all'arte, alla tecnica, al gusto, alla capacità di entrare nello spirito del barocco per quello che davvero era: non qualcosa di serioso e pesante, ma un'occasione di gioia, di bellezza, di umano: Tutto, le agilità, le melodia, le modulazioni servono a questo scopo e Orlinsky capisce tutto e soprattutto lo vive e lo fa vivere nella sua voce splendida. Bellissimo anche il registro più grave: in tutto aleggia una dolce e possente virilità! Si dovrebbero dire mille altre parole ... la cadenza della prima aria di Haendel è di una bellezza e intelligenza straordinarie, è di una inventività da vero musicista che non tradisce nè lo stile, nè la vocalità del grande Sassone! Orlinsky sei una gioia. Sii benedetto!

Wonderful Elina Garanca. She is the first Principessa di Bouillon I have actually enjoyed watching. Adriana Lecouvreur is such a difficult opera to stage well. I could listen to Elina all day.

I've loved the Wesendonck lieder since I heard Jessye Norman sing them on LP back in the 70s, wonderful to have Marie-Nicole's expressive voice today--such beauty. I admit to not being able to listen to the Rite as a concert piece, I need to see dancers on stage for this piece.

Christophe is such an exquisite musician! Never a dull moment, no tasteless affectedness and a beautiful technique a lot of countertenors lack. He sings on the breath and that's why his coloratura is effortless and doesn't sound guttural as is often the case with others. I wish the audio from this concerts was commercially available...
