i think the reason it doesnt always work is because the character's combos will hit the opponent further away depending on which button you press, try it with Bardock and you can see what i mean really well. After the launcher, if you press LML, that keeps the opponent closer to you, but you dont jump as high, so you might miss an attack like you did with Cell, BUT if you do LLM then you get much more height, and can easily do the second jump to continue the attack, just have to experiment and find out whether to use LML or LLM depending on what you want to follow up with

REDDIT POST [gen 2] breeding wih shiny ditto Gen II Ok I know it's RNG but I'm breeding with my shiny ditto so the odds should be 1/64 however My first attempt was with qwilfish over 140 eggs no shiny . Second attempt drowzee over 80 eggs no shiny and finally I'm breeding charmander with shiny ditto and up to 45-50 eggs. Am I doing something wrong ? I know it's random but it just seems unlikely that I hatched almost 300 eggs and got not one shiny . Did I break a chain everytime I switch out a mon ? Is the shiny calculated as it hatches or when it's given to me ? It's frustrating for me because my friend hatched 2 separate shinies in under 60 eggs and I'm over 300 if you add all them up and I got nothing . REDDIT ANSWER Your Pokemon is shiny when it has 2,3,6,7,10,11,14,15 Atk IVs, 10 Def, 10 Special and 10 Speed. When you are breeding with a shiny Ditto, the Defense IVs are always passed and the Special IVs are passed down with a chance of 50% (the 50% will always be the Special Stat +-8). So when you are breeding you are basically hoping for the Speed stat to be 10 (1/16 Chance), Attack to be one of the above mentioned stats (1/2 Chance) and you want the Special stat to be 10 aswell (also 1/2 Chance) which equals 1/64. There is no chain in Gen II (pure RNG) and the stats are calculated (afaik) when you get the egg. You are just unlucky (1-(63/64)270= ~98,5%, which means that if you hatch 270 eggs, there is a 98,5% chance of getting 1 Shiny).
