You're approaching it wrong. Every sale should be no less than 5 cards at a time. Find a way to stack teams together, 1/1s together, Rookies together etc etc. However you can to get people excited. Either way, NEVER do 1 at a time unless it's a banger.

I sell vintage clothes and this is me currently.

It helps if you have a few high end cards so if they do sell you make some money. I quit for like 9 months because i was burned out. I sell on eBay at 1cardsondeck.
