I'm very familiar with this case. I've watched the Dateline episode, the Lost for Life doc, all the interrogations with Brain, Torey, and Matt; and, yes, read The Guilty Innocent. Torey is straight up the devil.👹 Brian had/has a stuttering issue which affected his childhood. That said, you seem totally bought in with Brian's remorse. Me, I'm not so sure. Dateline and Lost for Life portrayed him saying mostly the right things and moving forward. However, in watching all of Brian's interrogations, all he does is lie, lie, and lie some more. So there's no way for me to tell whether he's credible or saying what he thinks we want to hear. And on a final update, Brian and Torey were finally split up. Torey was transferred to a prison in Arizona. Wonder if his family moved to visit him as often as possible, as they had done back in 2007 when they relocated to a different part of Idaho. I enjoyed the podcast, thank you.

She was PURE EVIL!! I live in the USA and have never heard this case. But I grew up abused but nothing like that. As far as that plea deal she took, it is common here in the states. Now that case was WILD!!! Never have I heard about charged just being dropped. Here in the United States, if you abuse someone it automatically goes on your record. The police are allowed to take you in even if you partner refuses to press charges. I will definitely catch y’all next time 😊
