This slaughter of Canadian Family's and Permanent resident's finances should be stopped! Even doctor and master students should not have their spouses allowed to work because it was student's decision to study in Canada. Canadians were thrown in front of food bank because of this student's spouse nonsense. Don't come to study if you don't have FULL TUTION FOR ALL SEMESTERS, FULL RENT FOR ALL SEMESTERS, FULL PHONE BILL FOR ALL SEMESTERS, FULL GROCERY BILLS FOR ALL SEMESTERS Canadians can't get job in thier own country and Canadian's modesty was abused by these bullshit programs. Apartments, Condos, rental rooms that were built for Canadians and Permanent Residents to live as tenant, were given to foreign students and thier spouses so students and thier spouses should not have any SIN card or work right of any type. Come, study, bring FULL money from your 3rd world country but don't work and complete your degree! This is how most Universities sell education to 3rd world born students in most of 1st world countries. This SIN number issuance to students and spouses should be TOTALLY eliminated. Work rights have nothing to do to with education so education related visa which is study permit, should NOT come with any work right whatsoever!

I applied study permit extension with my wife work permit extension on June 25, 2024. I finished my study in December 2024, but I still not get any updates on my application. I am trying to call IRCC from last one month ( each day 3-4 times), but they don’t receive my call yet. There are millions of cases where the main applicant does not have a job to support the SOWP application, and they have to apply solo for a temporary work permit because, without status, no one will hire them. You always advise applying together but do not provide solutions for that kind of scenario
