Cannon - DJ’s Tramline
Переглядів 2,8 тис.Рік тому
DJ’s Tramline (black) is one of the most famous trails in the East, and is rated on many websites as not only one of the toughest trails in the East but the US. This trail runs right under Cannon’s Tram, and begins as a glade that empties into the trail section. The trail section is very long and rocky, and in some areas requires rock/cliff jumps and jump turns. It is also very steep with a sus...
Cannon - Kinsman Glade
Переглядів 1,2 тис.Рік тому
Kinsman Glade (black) is the longest glade at Cannon, and one of the longest in the East. It goes right along the ski area boundary and due to cover is rarely open each year. It begins really narrow and flat and then begins to get very steep, reaching 35 degrees, making it one of the steepest marked trails in the East. There are steep sections of this glade, mellow sections, tight sections, and...

Cannon - Go Green Glade
Переглядів 136Рік тому
Go Green Glade (black) is one of the upper mountain glades off of the Cannonball Quad. It runs off of Skylight (black) and begins with a narrow winding entrance. It then gets tight and tends to have the biggest moguls of any of the other upper mountain glades.
Cannon - Profile Powder Run
Переглядів 76Рік тому
Profile (black) runs right next to the Cannonball Quad and is normally groomed. This run isn’t the steepest on the mountain but is good for carving, however this run was on a powder day after it dumped 9-12 inches.
Cannon - Global Warming Glade
Переглядів 156Рік тому
Global Warming Glade (black) is one of the upper mountain glades off of the Cannonball Quad. It begins on Upper Ravine (blue) and starts with a tight entrance, and then turns into a narrow chute towards the middle, and finally gets tight and steep again towards the end.
Cannon - Whiskey Towne
Переглядів 64Рік тому
Whiskey Towne (black) is one of the glades off the Zoomer Triple and runs parallel to Avalanche (black), one of the mountain’s steepest trails. The entrance to this glade is very intimidating as it drops off fast and requires jump turns, however this makes it less trafficked and allows it to hold good snow for longer. The glade then opens up into a natural half pipe and begins to level out towa...
Cannon - Lost Boys Glade
Переглядів 527Рік тому
Lost Boys Glade (black) is one of the upper mountain glades off of the Cannonball Quad. This glade goes off of Upper Cannon (blue) and is fairly short but also very tight.
Gunstock - Sidecountry and Glades
Переглядів 986Рік тому
Compilation of some hidden sidecountry trails and glades at Gunstock. The first clip is a sidecountry trail that runs from the top of Upper Recoil (black) to Birch Glades (black) which is probably the easiest glade at the mountain. The next sidecountry trail runs off of Middle Recoil (blue) and ends up at the top of Gunpowder (blue). The next clip is Upper Recoil Glades (double black), which is...
Cannon - Banshee Glade
Переглядів 133Рік тому
Banshee Glade (blue) is one of the few blue rated glades at Cannon and is accessed from the Zoomer Triple. It begins at the top of Jasper’s Hideaway (blue) and is a wide open glade with a lot of brush patches and some fun rock jumps.
Cannon - Wicked Haahhd
Переглядів 420Рік тому
Wicked Haahhd (black) is one of the tougher glades at Cannon and is located off of Upper Hardscrabble (black). This glade begins with a narrow and flat entrance and then transitions to become very steep and tight. It’s also fairly long and ends up all the way down into Middle Hardscrabble (black).
Sugarloaf - Branding Ax Glade
Переглядів 133Рік тому
Branding Ax Glade (double black) is between Double Bitter (black) and King’s Landing (blue), and is the only glade at Sugarloaf that is rated as double black besides the Brackett Basin glades. This is for good reason as it is extremely tight and steep, making it one of the toughest glades at Sugarloaf.
Sugarloaf - Bubblecuffer
Переглядів 455Рік тому
Bubblecuffer (double black) is one of the toughest trails at Sugrloaf, and is also ranked as one of the toughest trails in the East by a few websites. This runs down the face of the mountain and is a classic old school New England run; steep, moguls, and windy. This is a personal favorite trail at Sugarloaf and is always a good challenge.

I just did Cannon for the first time today and this trail was closed but this video does not do justice of just how steep this trail actually is. You’re basically skiing down a cliff. Mad props to you for making it down

Correct this was never meant to be skiable terrain, it was cleared for the construction of the tram hence the boulders. Not only is the slope itself steep as shit but some of these boulders are absolutely massive and create big drops.

Yeah, especially considering this past year it has been rougher than ever, so many exposed rocks, branches, and heavy snow. If anything deserves it, it’s the line with the covid cliff. That thing is actually intense

A great transformation. I wrestled 3 years in high school and fell in love with weights and the results. Then I injured my knee and left wrestling. Went into a funk. In college the amazing rec center and the guys working out there motivated me to get into great shape. You are 19 years old so assume you're in college and loving their amazing gym. I met a high school student on a college tour who came at age 18. He did gymnastics all his life and had a physique a lot like yours. He also had very powerful abdominals as gymnasts do. Thanks for motivating me this morning.
