    I am looking forward to the McLaren wheel, shifter and handbrake that should be coming out this October (2024). Meanwhile I hope you discovered that you can use the clutch as the handbrake . . footbrake? 😁 FYI guys, now AU$1784 for the bundle as of June, 2024. For a cheap Dd wheel look at the Cammus at AU$599 for the bundle as of June, 2024. I subscribed Mitch because I enjoyed your first G Pro vid and your a fellow Aussie. More power to us. Yo! Oh, one more thing. Yep, set Trueforce to 20-30 is what people are saying so you are spot on there mate.

    "My goodness!" beats "My Lord" all day long. We're not all Christians. Lucky your old bolts had the wrong thread. Those bolts were way, way too long Meesa. 10mm I think is the correct length for the pedals & 15mm for the wheel base or you risk damaging the equipment. Use washers if required. ua-cam.com/video/CIk4AdJUA0Y/v-deo.html Sad story; I gave a brand new car radio out of my new car to a friend. He went to mount it in his fourby's overhead console but used really long bolts which unfortunately, got in amongst the gutz and wound wires up around them like a yo yo. He completely ruined it. Another mate told me he was too embarrassed to tell me what happened. Anyway the moral of the story is, read the instructions and only use bolts/screws long enough to pass through the holding material. Any more is superfluous (love that word) and possibly fatal for the equipment. Also wheel points to your shoulders not your head. I didn't know that either so I hope I'm not coming across as a know-it-all. My rig is still on a container ship somewhere. Come on, sail faster!

    *IMPORTANT WARNING*: Logitech ( DO NOT ) carry spares or have service centres. I have had to throw the gpro wheel and pedals into the bin for the sake of a $2 part that they DONT sell. They DO NOT carry any spares whatsoever and even the smallest issue will result in the unit being bricked. Stick to an alternate brand that do have spares.

      *IMPORTANT WARNING* Fanatec will only repair defective units in Europe (for us Aussies). Therefore your faulty Fanatec will have to travel half way around the world for a repair and take WEEKS to come back. Logitech can replace my faulty one (if that should happen) with a brand newy every time afaic. Suits me bratmic1. But this "$2 part" has me scratching my head. Why throw anything in the bin when you can sell it online? I suspect your story is made up.

      @meesamods 7 місяців тому

      Haha I know the feeling. To be honest as long as you never play on a direct drive wheel You will love the g923. I ran mine for years and loved it and my friend is running it now and he loves it but, after playing on a dd wheel the g923 felt like it wasn’t even turned on. In saying that any wheel is a step up from controller. I don’t think you will be disappointed either way. There is a pretty big price difference too and it could be worth waiting to see if they will ever release any peripherals for it. I don’t really care about the extra wheels but a pro handbrake and shifter would be a good add on if Logitech ever pull their finger out.

Both are good wheels and feel incredible in comparison to the entry level wheels like the g920 wheels and the likes Feel free to reach out if you have any questions I am more than happy to share the info and experiences with the wheel. Thanks Mitch for your kind reply. I started simracing with TGT2 and Tlcm pedals, and want to give a try to a Direct Drive one. Unfortunately for PS5 there are just those two options, I found so many different experiences with Fanatec, confusing me a lot. Logitech Pro seems to be a bit more reliable. I will wait until the next Black Friday and see what discount both will offer, considering also the new QR2 in fanatec seems to be a problem solvers. Very difficult choice indeed. I’m happy you’re satisfied about your Logitech Pro, I like the Trueforce add on, would add some extra feeling in ACC where I usually play.

    • @technogov2
      @technogov2 4 місяці тому

      The biggest difference for me is true force. I'd like more wheel options, but I prefer function over form. I do wish the wheel was a bit thicker and padded but it's solid and quality is very good. Logitech people on reddit have hinted at 4 new peripherals debuting in 2024. A strong rig is a must.

      @davidshekhter5284 4 місяці тому

      Update. Had the Logitech wheel and pedals for about a month set up to the omega prime lite aluminum rig. It's amazing, simply put. I use gloves but can easily drive without them and the true force feels great and there's plenty of power in the wheel. I'm set to 8.2 nm with a total of 11 available. Not sure I'll ever go that high as I'm really happy with the current setting.

Tried to get a Fanatec, (only because of the name), but nothing else was available here in Australia at that time. And I can tell you I certainly don't regret buying this kit. I have it clamped to my very solid computer desk and it never even moves. Mine is set at 9nm which I use for F1 2022 and thats ideal for me, and like you say there is room to go more. But maybe if they had waited a little longer, they could have given 2 wheel options, because I would have gone for a Formula style wheel. And after spending over 2k on this kit I will be waiting a little while to update the wheel, if it comes. But don't get me wrong, this wheel is fantastic and I don't regret spending that money at all. Your options saying if people should buy it or not are spot on and said in a good way. I currently own a g29 and I really want to upgrade to Fanatec but because they are in Germany and I’m in U.K., there’s high shipping, import fees and I hear a lot of negativity around their customer services . My other option is the new Logitech g pro direct drive. Only problem is, I think the Logitech wheel looks too plain and basic and wheel base is huge. I’m confident I’ll love the performance of Logitech direct drive , I just don’t like the look. But Logitech is in U.K., free shipping and great customer service. The Logitech g pro wheel wheel base and pedals is £1250 ish. Would you go with Logitech, for the reasons I stated? Even if you wasn’t sold on look of wheel? I just feel Logitech I’m will be much smoother transition. I’m just so bloody unsure. Would you risk possible bad customer service with Fanatec? Or go with safe Logitech option?

      @meesamods Рік тому

      G’day Graham, I had a similar issue when I was in the market for upgrading and have also heard the whispers about the customer service. It also influenced the way I went when buying. I don’t think you will be disappointed either way. The jump from the g29 up to dd is a substantial change/ upgrade. I think there may be a few extra aspects to consider on this as well. Depending on if you are console racing or pc racing your options for the native peripherals wheels/shifter/ handbrake etc with the Logitech is non existent at this stage. Not such an issue for pc racers where anything usb will work but, it is a massive draw back for console at the moment. Me personally I prefer the power of the Logitech compared to the dd and don’t mind the look of the wheel. The base is chunkier than the others but you don’t notice it when racing. Now I know both wheels have had the odd problem here and there and I can’t really comment on the fanatec side of customer service as I have never dealt with them. Not that I have had any issues with my wheel/ pedals But l have never had any issues dealing with Logitech customer service with any of my other products over the years. If you are not in any great rush for upgrades I would look at the Logitech especially if fanatec isn’t in your country as that will make future purchases and dealing with support more difficult/ slow

    Regarding horizon, I’m so pissed. Got it with bundle and not only do I think it’s absolutely shit, it gives me instant motion sickness, in my eyes. What makes it worse, is the fact that Sony put the demo in ps store on day 1. I wasn’t really even interested in horizon. Mainly because it was obvious that call of mountain would be nothing like the horizon, we know and fact that Sony showed virtually no gameplay, proves that. But I pre ordered bundle because I may have been wrong (I wasn’t) and because there wouldn’t be a lot available on launch, to play. If I knew there’d be a demo, I could have tried that and saved some money. The amount of money I’ve wasted on games over the years and not likes or not even played, is annoying and I only have myself to blame. So far I wasted about £120 on psvr2 games that I do not like. Call of mountain £40 in bundle and it’s crap with added motion sickness, as soon as I rotate camera. £33 on switchback, £20 on synth riders and a few more. I am tempted to buy Pavlov but because I suffer from motion sickness, I’m unsure. I really hope I overcome this or I’ll have to sell my psvr2.

      @meesamods Рік тому

      Hey Graham, I know how you feel I get sick in vr nearly every time. I have wasted a lot of money on vr games over the years aswell. I found psvr2 less severe and I can last longer on it before wrecking myself. Make sure you have everything set to max comfort, some games will give you the option for jumping view rather than free flow when moving the camera. Try and stick to games where you have some kind of dash board flying, racing, mech type games as they tend to be easier on your body as the dash gives you something to center on. You can try to force your body into being ok with the motion stuff but it takes time and it isn’t much fun making yourself sick every day. Re Pavlov if you are getting crook from horizon I would probably save your money or as you said look for a demo of it as I found it pretty hard going when I played it last. Take it easy Mitch

I might just man up and set it up, tomorrow afternoon. I play thumper vr and don’t get any motion sickness, whatsoever. Do you think it may be the same with gt7? Or maybe I don’t get sick in thumper, because I always going kinda fast same speed but because I’ll have to brake, often In gt7, do you think the braking and turning will bring on the motion sickness? Also, I’ve seen comments on UA-cam where people say they have got refunds from Sony for ps store psvr2 games because they got bad motion sickness. Do you think it’s even worth asking Sony for such refund? I waste enough money on crappy games as it is and the thought of buying games and not even being able to play because motion sickness, really leaves me feeling uneasy. I personally think that Sony should absolutely refund any games that give motion sickness BUT the problem is, some will simply not like the game and lie about motion sickness, to get refund. If you are unsure start in a slow car and avoid the rally stuff and the Nurburgring as they are the only two thing I have had the odd hit of motion feeling albeit it was minor but still. I am not sure on Sonys refund policy would have to go and look it up. It might be time based or time played based like the oculus store so you might get lucky. You can buy multiple trucks, hire many virtual drivers for those trucks to go out and earn you money, you can buy trailers to haul loads or you can use the company's trailer. You make the most money by doing heavy loads for long distances in your own trailer. You can skin the trucks, customize them, configure them, skin the trailers and customize them, etc. The game can be as simple or as realistic as you want. I prefer to park my own trailers. As I normally play it for an hour or so at a time I'm probably fine with the steering not being too heavy :) I recently got one of these wheels but haven't tried it in a truck sim yet.
