Oh I'm sorry I saw this video so late. I also experienced the first resin you bought from Aliexpres and I had such a hard time I can't explain. According to the videos I watched, this job shouldn't be this difficult. It was a bad experience and start. I paid twice the tax money because I ordered from Turkey. The resins sold in Turkey are of much higher quality
Oh my goodness! I'm so sorry you had such a difficult time with it! I have another review video of one that I bought from Temu and it worked out a lot better. I also did an experiment in that video where I added regular thin UV resin to the Ali Express dip resin and it helped with thinning it out. I used 50/50. I wonder what Toa Dip is made of. I finally got my hands on a set of the gage pipes. One of these days, I will play with wire dipping 😊. For now, I enjoy watching you make them.
It says it's a synthetic resin (cellulose acetate) which is like plastic I think. Did you get the gauge pipes? I wish I could see what you're going to make 😊 Dipping is fun and easy so I hope you try it someday! Thanks always for your support. It means the world to me!

Uhm....there is dipping resin for flowers like this. Product actually made to do this and it doesnt "pop" like this does.

@@KandymaroResin Hi! there is also the flexible UV resin that works wonders on making poseable petals/leaves as well. You do not dip them, but form the wire to the sharp like you have, then place on the tape and fill it in. Hit with the lamp and you have the poseable petals. They make very nice decorations on hair sticks, earrings etc.

I do sell it on eBay if you'd like to purchase but you can use whatever you have in the house like a marker, bottles, etc. You might also make some from cut PVC pipes from the DIY store. Hello! Honestly, I use the Japanese Toa Dip. The hack was intended for those who want to make smaller-sized dip flowers and cannot get their hands on the Japanese stuff. BTW, I just got my hands on some TEMU UV resin which looks promising. I'm recording the review tomorrow. Stay tuned!

@@KandymaroResin I haven't done this with resin yet - I've made very tiny ones with nail polish, which are quite fragile. How strong are these?

Hello! If you are referring to the UV resin to paint the petals, I am using an off brand UV resin (cheap one). Any UV resin will do! My recommendations are in the video description. Good luck!

Is there a way to do this on a much larger scale? Also, make it more outdoor proof?
Hmm... I'm not really sure. Maybe you can wrap thick garden wire with plastic and melt it onto the wire with a heat gun? I've never tried it but using shrink wrap came to mind. Resin will yellow in the sun so use spray paint and maybe a clear coat to strengthen it? 🤔 Sorry I'm not much help! I might try the shrink wrap idea in a future video!
