👍
Thank you for your videos about Vetiver. I hope the world appreciate its importance as soon as possible. We need more of this.
👍
Too much consumption...go organic...ban plastic bottles, bags,straws,cups,etc
Excellent video. This needs more publicity....especially with the kind of squatting we have.
Keep the vids going! Good stuff
5 years later and even more relevant today...
As far as CRAFTS you nred to think outside the box and elevste what you creste and find outside markets for products of high quality NOT just cruse ships.
Whst else should be planted along with the vetiver to assist it hold back the soil? A ground cover perhaps use more than just ONE plant.
No dirty water from PIGS must reach the water source or you will make people sick.
Sometimes it is hard work, but totally worth it :) Thank you for this Vetiver video, we love to plant Vetiver in our FruitForest :)
Can I come visit and help contribute
We are discovering what we did decades ago. Our people have been brainwashed to believe that we must import everything that we need. In the 1960s and 70s, this grass was used in PM and Carriacou to make mats, baskets etc. The craft was taught in the primary schools. I remember when my dad planted grass on the hillsides to protect the land from erosion. This Grass need to be planted in the water courses, to prevent the soil from washing away into the sea. Bamboo is also an underutilized. All we do these days is import plastic and concrete to pollute the country.
It needs to be grown from Grenadian plants already existing NOT imported from anywhere else. You run the risks of pests coming in even from Trinidad. There is Vetiver on Grenada already.

Everything about this is excellent!!! The outreach is outstanding. Kudos on reaching ALL of the community. From incarcerated to students. Lovely 😍
Also known as sweet root my father planted it in the hedges to hold the soil my mother and grandmother used the dried roots to keep clothes smelling fresh and used the dried leaves to stuff the mattress
It would be a good idea to eliminate the oven regulator to avoid accidents.
What do you mean?
Very informative! Thanks for sharing!
@Power Involved CB i mean to disconnect the gas that is going to the oven knob, that way, she wouldn't accidentally turn on the gas for the oven that can not be lit, but can cause an explosion
