Anche Burton meritava un OSCAR ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Aphrodite's first full length Drum and Bass CD is what got me here
A great actor..a performance that should have won him his 1sst oscar..he was nominated 7 times..no wins...Hollywood doesn't always pay attention. ...
The Oscar winning performance Burton failed to win...what a shame..
Just went to the cinema a couple of weeks back to watch this again. TWENTY-FIVE YEARS AFTER I LAST SAW IT THERE.😳 One of my all time favourite films ❤
This movie was like nothing I've ever seen before instant classic for me I prefer it over that avatar bullshit any day of the week
Theres a reason keeping someone awake 24/7 is a form of torture.
Life is boring
One of the most haunting monologues ever put on film. Could the story have been created by George as a metaphor of his own life? It's a shame there's a gap at the beginning.
I love this soliguay and I have read it to audiences. I have always wondered if he was reading cue cards for this. It is a lot to remember, especially the various phrases and sentance constructions. The pauses are masterful.
There's no indication from any eye movement that he was reading his lines on cue cards. A veteran stage actor like Burton was used to memorizing pages of dialogue.
he's me
Anyone who says that Burton was a one-note actor has clearly never watched this.
In my opinion, this is the finest five minutes of acting ever filmed.
Mesmerizing performance! I need to watch this scene every few years or so. So chilling and cryptic! Burton is amazing
I, too, watch this scene about once or twice every year.
This isn't a movie it's what they want us to be...
Me da risa como su alter-ego era más listo que él. Porque sabía cosas de química
Word for word, the finest performance Burton ever gave. When first I saw this I was riveted in my seat. Fabulous and somehow shocking,
This did not feel like a movie imo it was more of a documentary.

watching this at 0.5 speed portrays the message even more lol
What profound beautiful poetry
gold
My favorite movie.
What an actor. He leaves you breathless.
Exactly at 13 seconds you will see what you will see.
He should've won an Oscar
Xlm stellar, for those who know.
If you slow down at 0:12, you will catch a glimpse of Tyler Durden in the office.
It's impossible that Richard Burton didn't win the Oscar for this performance, but he didn't. Sad. Sad. Sad.
My mom didn’t sleep for nearly a year and trust me that’s something you don’t want to see
0:10 did anyone else see that? (Don't blink, you'll miss it)
Very clever
Hot damn, that's acting.
Here in a stunning monologue Richard Burton reveals his enormous depth and power as an actor. Although Burton was not the greatest actor of his generation he certainly could have been, but he went for the money and fame instead.
If he stayed in England.
And alcohol.
No different than revisiting, over many years, a violin concerto of a Mozart. I find myself revisiting this scene quite often.
I love this video! I visited the amphitheater in Taormina in the summer of '62, and it was totally empty, just like in the opening. The music, fire and Greek chorus were thrilling to experience in the video--it added layers to my memories of this beautiful place with a view of Mt. Etna.

drama homework?
yep
yep
@@adambob3123 neither, just normal work
@@adambob3123 i mean, Woody Allen is a professional filmmaker, so if you want to call what he does “homework” then I guess that’s up to you, though I don’t think he ever actually lived in Greece, so it would be odd to call a location shot “homework”
yup
We will eventually end up like Wall E where everyone is living in a chair
"Microsoft Galaxy" He was almost correct. Samung used it instead
Brilliant actor with stunning performance, he should have really won the Oscar
Six times nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor and once for Best Supporting Actor without a win. It's been said that life is not fair and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences makes damn sure it isn't.
This is the best documentary film ever.

Best comments here, I think, for beggining, to write a novel, where Jack have new dreams...
I am Jack’s in the box
I sometimes wonder if the technology/media that we are fed serves to quell the desire to lash out against this modern life. Most young men that I know, in their 20s, regard this movie highly. Obviously there is a drive for us to start our own fight clubs. But we are so docile.
Sometimes instead of going into work I wouldn't mind getting punched in the face and woken up. not because I hate my job but something to shake up the routine wouldn't hurt
They'd rather pay out the ass for MMA bullshit. SHEEP.
