Home defense gun for dummies, Glock vs Canik vs xdm
Переглядів 1,6 тис.4 роки тому
We put a glock 45, a Springfield XDM, and a Canik tp9sf in the hands of normal adults with no shooting experience at all. Totally unbiased total rookies. All these guns are unmodified , straight out of the box. All 3 are top notch guns. But this experiment shows the Canik tp9sf as being the choice of true beginners .

Testing krylon fusion and rustoleum paint on lexan plastic.
Damn your YJ looks ruff brah 😑
Will Metallic rustoleum work
Not sure on that
Great video! - Has anyone had a go at using Rustoleum 2x on Lexan also? I Too am tired of paying here in Australia up to $15.00 a can for Tamiya PS, Paints. If I'm lucky I get it for $11.00.. I'm really keen on trying this on a new build I'm doing, Do you need to scuff up the surface etc? So if anyone can let me know their experiences I'd appreciate it to the max. Thanks! - PRC - Australia
Yeah I’m going try normal spray paint on my buggy wings..😂
I've used both of those paints in the past for painting a lot of plastic parts. Most car interior parts. I've always found that I get the best results by putting the can(s) and the part out in the sun so that they both reach the same temp. I then paint the parts in the shade (only the sun if it's not too hot), and then leave the parts in the sun for as long as possible. I don't know if this actually makes any difference as to how the paint cures and adheres to the actual part I'm painting, but I feel like it helps semi bake the paint to the part, which makes it more chip / scratch resistant.
Hey, landscape please
Because of this video I was able to get my new ignition switch install thank you for your video
So L is for 12v+ and B1 is for the lights wire? What happens if those get reversed?
If you hit the body with the clear for Lexan first and then the regular paint it will last…the regular stuff just doesn’t stick to lexan by itself
$7 you got yours cheap shit I paid that twice for one can when you add shipping and tax do they sell the Tamiya for $7 at the hobby shops?
Thanks Chris.
The nitro will dissolve the paint and then it will look bad
Where did you get the ignition
Good job, and also something I've experimented with. What I know always works good is spray for garden furniture (plastic) I get some cheap paint in the stories for like £1 for a big can :)
Awesome!!
Ha’ Good Job! Thanks for sharing!
So with the first shooter YOU overloaded the gun, luckily the guy didn't kill himself thinking when you said shoot five time, he then didn't figure the gun was empty like a newbie might and do something stupid with a gun that should have been empty.....you should not do this anymore....

Real help
Looks like u used ur redcat as a lawnmower lol 😂
I was wondering how well it would work as a backer paint spraying over createx air brush paints.? I guess I am gonna give it a shot in a couple days. I knwo I have painted bodies with testors paint and it does not stick well at all!
Well well well.... Looks like I might be able to use the shade of yellow i want from rustoleum. I couldn’t find it in the overpriced small sized model paints. 🤣 Worst case scenario, I’ll just clean off the chipped paint and go over it again with the same can that’s already half the cost and twice the size. It going on a slash 4x4. 🤷🏽♂️ The body’s gonna get beat up anyway.
Thank you for reviewing the 2x rustoleum because im new to painting these rc bodies and was shock a tiny tamiya can cost $7. I was hesitant about picking up rustoleum because i heard it might chip. Now im definitely gonna go ahead and try it out.
Did you ever get around to trying it mate?
Doing a body right now with the 2x and was looking for reviews before I hit it. I did the same testing lol. Think the 2x is better than the fusion.
4 Years on, How did it turn out mate?
Any paint that says for plastic will work. If don’t says for plastic simple adhesion promoter will work. The prices for these rc paints are crazy ! Expensive for these little ass cans !!!! Enamel is enamel !!!!
It’s lacquer not enamel ....
I have seen mixed reviews on this Chris. Are you still using the plastic spray paint? If so how does it compare with model paint? Any tips are appreciated....I'm with you on the model paints..... It's a rip off and I'm tired of paying the high prices..... adding RC word to an item shouldn't make it cost 3-4 times what it should....
All paints chip off from time to time. But my money is better spent on other things. Rtr cars paint holds up very well but the bodies themselves don't last with my bathing style. I'm sticking with the rustoleum 2x paint.
got it. Thanks Chris! I totally agree with the rtr bodies and paint. I'm gonna give the rustoleum a try and it'll have a fiberglass like backer on it so as long as it don't crack it will be just fine. Thank you for the reply and your time!
All paints don’t chip you need lacquer
your voice is godly deep. Lol
Hey read your manual below the power button on the car you can set the brake by the way the lights beep it's all in your instruction manual buddy
"I tried to do a jump like monster jam" Hahaha great stuff!
Love mine, center diff upgrade, stiffer springs, new shock oil, diff oil and dropped a 11 tooth pinion in mine and it's a nut with the 11 in it. Upgrading to the 120a max10 and the 3660 4000kv it comes with in combo form. Will allow to at least up to a 16 tooth then but gonna start with a 13 or 14 tooth and see how it does. As is now with the 11tooth on the stock system 50mph is not an issue. With the new setup don't see why 60+ is out of the question. It's a little tank and hard to kill. Center diff saves the driveline components. Wore out a rear dog bone and blew out rear diff bearings on the fixed spur setup within a few months on 3s. Only real things I've broken on mine.
smokin green for $300 there is nothing on the market that even comes close in my opinion.
Cool man so much power!!
Mad manc and family RC fun , it has a 9t pinion. That helps with the torque. The foam pad is for traction
Cool man thanks
Great vid ! Love mine Upgraded to 120esc and 13t
Hey nice review! I love my MT10E. 2 things to watch out for 1) the shock shaft ends inside the shock often times do NOT have locktight on them from the factory and can come apart. Easy to fix if it happens, just clean red locktite them in, and refill with oil. 2) Red locktite the grub screw on your output of your front and rear diffs. These usually do not have locktite on them and will come out and cause problems. I heard Redcat is addressing this issue with a design change, but not sure when that will happen. Good Luck and enjoy!
sRCparadise mine has a snap ring to hold in that pin. Works great
Hey chris, good to hear, I guess that is the reported "fix" I heard about. Enjoy! Mt10E is a great little truck, I love mine too:)
Great video Chris you should do more
Zander more coming
Hey man just wanted to know if you have done any more bodies with regular hardware paint... if so how do they hold up?? Do is chip easily?? Any tips??
Monster RC yes I have painted 2 bodies with rustoleum 2x paint best tip is paint it up, then spray a couple coats of white paint to help protect it make it last longer. Another tip,, put masking tape on a sheet of wax paper to make crazy designs. Cut out your design then it's like a stencil
Since in my country it is hard to get the RC car paint. I tried normal plastic spray paint from hardware shops. their was no difference actually I have driven the little Tamiya car till I need another body to paint again.
