I caught like 4 SVR’s in a Marginal! Quite unusual!
@@SpaceboyYT Wow! I got direct hit and sadly had to go inside.
@@theshortwavearchive35 Darn! Hope you were safe!
@@SpaceboyYT Just lots and lots of rain. Happy that I didn't get any hail.

Cool weather alert!
Did you get a new weather radio?
@@Smiley35S I've had this one for quite a while
@@theshortwavearchive35 oh okay, it looks new.
What channel are you listening too?
Very nice
Thanks
The Sihuadon R-108 is a really good SW receiver!
Agreed!
Broadcast for Oceania/Australia/New Zealand at 175°. Have heard this broadcast a few times in late afternoon (Eastern Time).
Oh wow, there are a lot of ⛈️ during the summer!
Garbage video
Best NWS station 🔥🔥
3955 MHz - wie bitte...??? 😳
Was ist falsch an 3955 MHz?
@@RadioCAE Nein in Deutsch wäre es korrekt: 3,955 MHz (3.955 kHz).
Not much left in Polish except for the station ID and announcements. Even the music programme is the same everyday.
@qwertyamdx A while back I recorded the Bulgarian broadcast and passed by it a few days later and heard the same music. It's unfortunate that some of there languages have turned to this. I don't enjoy that CRI in English is just CGTN Radio as well.
Oh wow there are a lot of Thunderstorms in the summer.
It’s EAS 28.
Fixed, Thanks!
@@theshortwavearchive35 You’re welcome.
You're getting a pretty good signal all the way from Madagascar!

I use Kec76 &Wng 550 i think bou is having some issues w relaying on the right stations
Usually the east side of weld county gets KWN40 very faintly but you can make out what it's saying. Just like how it is in this video!
I was surprised when I first heard KWN40 I didn't think stations (NOAA and FM radio) would reach out here. The only stations from out east I thought would be possible (it is) was farm radio 1010 KSIR in Brush. There is a spot in my backyard where I can get a better signal of KWN40 I'll just have to run outside when alerts are sent.
@@theshortwavearchive35, In Colorado Springs, I can get KWN40 like you but faintly. I was surprised when it reached my area considering I'm in the Pueblo office coverage. Do you have any social media we can stay in touch on?
@@EasternCOandMOEASandIceCream Unfortunately I do not. Did you receive KWN40 via tropo or e-skip?

I love this great tradition. Thank you for uploading this.
No Problem! Have a great day and 73's!
In addition to where you monitored from and the UTC, perhaps you might want to add what model of receiver and type antenna used... (I think this will be enjoyable in the future when you look back on these in a few decades).
Always keep forgetting to add that. Thanks so much and 73!
Ohhh I love the orange glow it's rad.
Thanks! The backlighting helps the camera stay in focus when I'm recording in places with low light.
@@theshortwavearchive35 you're welcome and it looks really cool 😎
@@theshortwavearchive35 was it dark when you were recording?
@@Smiley35S Yes
@@theshortwavearchive35 oh oaky
Lol kid, you're still using the internet...
I also didn't have great equipment and was using and SDR so people could actually hear the broadcast instead of hearing rapid fading from my location since I am not in the target area.
Brother Stair
Oh wow, lots of thunderstorms in the summer there.
Yeah, most of them pass over me and move east. Dumping rain and hail over the cities in eastern Colorado.
@@theshortwavearchive35 it's cool how you can find out where they are just by listening in.
@@Smiley35S They list the counties and cities that will be impacted
@@theshortwavearchive35 can you program the radio to pick up the weather anywhere or just locally?
@@Smiley35S The NOAA stations cover specific counties in your area. My local station WXM51 covers the counties Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Larimer, and Weld. But if the radio has S.A.M.E you can enter in a code where it will go off only for the county or counties you've selected. For example, if you live in Denver county an alert for Weld is sent out, your weather radio won't go off since it's not for the county or counties you programed.
I will go to Colorado
Shortwave listening is generally not monitored by the government and is preferable to TV or Internet if you can find stations.
Exactly they more busy with other stuff..... imagine a n encrypted higain hf digital system ..they'd never know..or make the rf similar to eletro magetic spectrum band of a far away planet..then use stenography for added security......❤
Only 2 years and we already lost some stations and transmitting sites..
Indeed, with many stations suffering budget cuts like Radio Romania, Deutsche Welle, and the BBC World Service they all keep stopping different language broadcasts or limiting there amount of broadcasts in said language. Sadly, more stations are leaving than ones to replace them.
Did you get any Thunder?
The storm was south of me. So I didn't get any thunder but I could see the lightning
@@theshortwavearchive35 cool! Did you take pictures?
I live in the Upstate, so WFBC is local for me
😊
Super cool!
Thanks!
@@theshortwavearchive35 You're very welcome 😊
Hell yeah! I have a map of all the ones in my area and been keeping track of them. After 2022 the only one working in my area is in front of a fire station on remote mountain side. Even has a road sign pointing it out, regular one too not an emergency only one. It’s still serviced by the local telecom and takes quarters.
School days memories
What SDR are you using?
The SDR's used are KiwiSDR's. The ones used specifically were in the Pacific region
@@theshortwavearchive35 Thank you
What radio brand is that? Us it sold on Amazon? 📻🌐🙂
I think the brand name is Videyas. It is sold on Amazon. But I think it has a different exterior style. Hopefully, it still comes with the sensitive tuning chip to pick up weak signals.
I have one in my front yard. I always put the money in first then dial the number.
WOW! On your "How to use a payphone" video. I thought that was a phone you found in the wild. Thanks to that video I learned about the deposit coins before dialing. Wish I had more footage of making successful call on this payphone.
@@theshortwavearchive35 I am amazed you found and watched my video! There are a few payphones I have collected and repaired around my home. It is incredible you found a working one out in public!
