It's an honor on our part to get acknowledged form an eminent Surgeon as you mam...it will keep us motivated...we are doing our bit to generate awareness among the people regarding dental and oral issues which is actually greatly ignored... Hope our endeavour do some good...

Objectionable mouth odor if not managed in time may have psychological impact. So whatever be the reason the first health professionals to be consulted are the Dental Surgeons, the surgeon following a thorough examination suggests further course of action. The cause of bad breath may be local, for example the mouth or may be systemic like in case if patients with pancreatitis, diabetes, liver disease etc. So identification of the cause is paramount.

Absolutely...no tooth paste should be used without the recommendation of a dental surgeon... using any medicated tooth paste is like doing self medication...it may do more harm than good

@@omkaranandadental how do we select a tooth paste for regular use? OTC tooth pastes claim to have salt / charcoal/herbs etc.....do these make any tooth paste superior to the normal foaming tooth paste.? Thank you 🙏

That's a great question...tooth paste is actually to add some interest in our brushing, just imagine brushing with the tooth brush alone, it's quite unpleasant, so to make the brushing a bit a good experience tooth paste is recommended. Now a basic tooth paste should contain calcium carbonate, a vehicle like glycerine and a foaming agent. This is the basic constituent of a tooth paste. Unless advise by a registered Dental Surgeon only a regular tooth paste without claims of containing anything else should be used. There are many brands Available OTC (over the counter) that claims to contain many things as charcoal or some herbs etc, but to be precise none of them is proved. The only aspect that is proved is twice brushing with a basic tooth paste and rinsing following every time we eate or drink.
