i never understood why people assume it's a glitch, that Flickering is used EVERYWHERE in the game. and you can't even move while she flickers away. probably the same persons who claim to this day that sephiroth killed aerith, even if it's well known that sepi is sleeping / stasis and jenova take the form of sepi to do stuff, she doesn't even know who Cloud is despite the fact sepi has a crush on the guy who "killed" him he later gets control of jenova, Come one people, i know the FF7 PS1 wasnt well translated, but just because it isn't voiced doesn't mean you shouldnt read what they are saying

Going into this trilogy with an open mind is such a fun experience

I adore the ending so much. This is my theory: It’s lifestream Aerith. That’s why Nanaki can sense her too, if she was just in clouds head he wouldn’t sense her. I also don’t think she’s Jenova because I don’t think jenova would say “goodbye” like that at the end. How is she appearing to Cloud though? Maybe it’s a function of Holy. Before handing Cloud the white materia in the church cloud says “but your mom gave that to you” and Aerith replies “this isn’t about me though, it’s about saving the world, *and you*. If it is because of the white materia then that could also be how aeriths mom appeared to her in traces of two pasts after her death. I think Aerith did this as a Hail Mary to prevent clouds mind from breaking completely, which would have been an early checkmate for Sephiroth in this 4D chess game between Sephiroth and Aerith. That’s why Sephiroth says “that shouldn’t be here, very poor form” when he sees the white materia in the sleeping forest and also why he says “I underestimated you” to Aerith. It’s because she subverted sephiroths plan of breaking cloud in that moment. When Aerith says those lines to cloud at the end about how it’s a second home to her and how she’ll keep praying to stop meteor etc, we as the players can understand that she’s actually talking about the lifestream. However she’s saying it to cloud as if shes talking about the forgotten capital, as if that is the second home where she’ll continue praying, it’s because she’s coddling him, protecting his mind from the reality that she’s dead. She has to sell him a story for why she’s not joining the party onward. That’s why cloud even questions it one time and says “but what if something happens?”, and she says “then I’ll send up smoke!”, and he’s like “I’ll keep an eye out”. He fully believes she’s alive and merely continuing her prayers at the forgotten capital. And she’s helping him believe this lie not because she wants to but because she has to for the sake of keeping clouds fragile mind intact just a little bit longer, all in an effort to defeat Sephiroth.

As a Town of Salem player, I can confirm that ToS came before Among Us: it turns out to still have some players 10 years later. Not as much as it had earlier in its lifespan, but with the playerbase, I would say the game is not dead. End of message.

Have everyone in lobby change their name to a different one of the first 10 letters of the alphabet. Chaos ensues. I’ve gotten over the lame art style because the game itself is very fun however only one fucking small map at launch is retarded. This game may be $9 but it should be free to play until it has enough content to charge for it. The different kills all don’t matter much at all. It is nice they have different scenes but not doing much without actoually changing how the game works is lame. If by car crash, the car speeding along should be able to hit and kill extra players for example. Have the way of death interact with the gameplay itself besides just making players die in specific areas. That is super lazy. Also why is the game based on N’s game but he isn’t able to be swapped out for L at all? Thats just dumb.

What annoys me about Among Us is not the game itself, but the people (or rather kids, I guess) who now think it's just the progenitor of the genre, so now we have to suffer stuff like "It's Death Note Among Us" . Even if it was, it's not even that good and doesnt deserve the amount of success it got. I mean I'm happy for the devs, but they got unbelievably lucky. Barely anybody played it before some douchy streamer (I'm just assuming he's douchy because I'm annoyed, I dont know the guy) picked it up and suddenly it exploded.

Im glad it's not yet another arena fighter but this just doesn't look interesting. And it is why i am content just watching anime and not expecting every single one to get a game.

I liked the idea when I saw the trailer. but I disliked the art style. I did saw the figures in the manga/anime but I don’t like the idea of playing with them as characters.

Funny you mentioned Tekken 8 would be called a SF ripoff today. I remember seeing dudes call King of Fighters XIV/XV a cheap looking Street Fighter ripoff, KoF series was gone for so long dudes were being ignorant when it returned. KoF deserves better, one of my favorite fighting game franchises.

Since the Detroit Become Human idea was tossed in there... id actually like to see that now for Death Note.... based on your actions the game and the world changes around you... and I feel like that would be amazing. As for now id like to host a few games of Killer Within myself... I mean this kind of concept had caught my interest to this level of degree to begin with.

I think people who dog on this game because it isn't what they wanted it to be are taking things too far, but I do think it'd be cool to have a story-based Death Note game full of what-ifs and scenarios/endings that alter the story as we know it. Having various protagonist perspectives would be interesting too, like scenarios focused around L, Naomi Misora, Misa, or even lesser characters like Light's sister or Aiber/Wedy who could play a more central role if things played out slightly different. Social deduction IS the bread and butter of Death Note though, so I think a game like this is just as perfect for the IP.

I'm so excited for this game. exactly what I wanted for a death note game and I think the design is genius having L and Light play chess working out scenarios for catching Kira. Light "pretending" to be kira.

Really it's more of a concern if kids start to infest it like they did among us. Who would've guessed a social deduction game would become annoying to play with a kid screaming "I don't want to play with you guys anymore, the imposter is red, bye"

As for the figurines, keep in mind quite a few people stopped watching the anime after L was killed, and many people just think the puppets look stupid. In my Discord, someone brought up the puppets, and 16 people immediately chimed in to say they hated N and his puppets and that he never should have caught Kira

I always wanted a Detroit become human like death note game Like you had different options to act as Kira or L and make different decisions to make different scenarios like imagen you take shinigami eyes as light how would that turn out Creating a game like this with high quality would be really hard though This isn't bad though but I always have this fantasy of mine with myself So happy that they didn't make it an arena fighter though 😂

People complaining about this should check Kira Game, a game that actually predates Town of Salem, the game that was the origin of Among Us. Meaning via technicality, Among Us ripped off Death Note

If this were 10-15 years ago people would be crying for Telltale Games to be doing a Death Note game on social media, and if they had made one I suspect it wouldn't have aged well. I think if you wanted to do a game that replicates the manga the best you'd have to go full analogue and do a table-top party mystery game, but in terms of video games this is probably the least niche idea that could still adequately fulfill the cat-and-mouse conflict of the manga.

As a person who grew up in an average to average-poor household Nope, never played a single Mario game, nor Zelda, or Sonic The first game I could afford to buy - with my own money even - was Pokemon Black 2 The only Nintendo games I've ever owned are Pokemon & Fire Emblem, and I've played a bit of Metroid Lol But yeah, fully agree on your points, you are correct on this and should in fact say it

How would a Death Note Persona-styled game even work!? Death Note didn't have much combat action.

Funny thing is, this game would actually result in the player figuring out more identities than anyone ever did. He didn't actually figure out anyone's identity who didn't outright tell him themselves.

All i know is the ATB report guy said "When we asked Nomura about Arieths strange behavior in the forgotten capitol when Cloud is the only one can see her, and the jenova/ifestream theme mix version of the lifestream theme. He only said "I hope you like sinister turns"" Now they give out Bogu info despite ATB report being run by square but i didnt notice unti lthey said how weird Arieth was in that scene and the music is unsettling her facial gestures are off two.
