SSR9 DSG: Meaningful Upgrades
Let's explore in this video what upgrades you can do to the SSR9 DSG, that will bring a meaningful impact to your replica.
The motor was set to Low speed from the switch available on the bottom. If we set it to high, the ROF would be 45 RPS.
BBs used were 0.25 gr, and hop was set for a flat trajectory.

In this video, we'll conduct a very scientific test, between a stock SSP5 by Novritsch (only change is the Maple Leaf hopup rubber) and a fully custom built 700$ Hicapa. What is better to do on a Wednesday night, than to play airsoft in a different country? Nothing! Brought with me my custom SSP5, complete with HPA setup and tracer BBs, for those sweet, sweet shots. Fast action, headshots, nice sunsets and good times.

You mentioned that it allows us to swap out the hopup and inner barrel? Am I able to put in a much longer barrel and use a mock silencer to hide it? I primarily play outdoors, so i go for range and accurqcy. You also said you were able to shoot close to 1.5 joules?
@@dcskater012345 i did not check myself if a maxx hop actually fits, but the shape of the current unit is almost identical.

@@Jetzbanane completely agreed. I just like the SSR9, i like the idea of having an out-of-the-box DSG, so i went with that. I have 3 other DSGs, on various platforms, so i know what you mean.
i would have liked to support your time by getting some of the stuff through a affiliate link, but I bet everything is everywhere, thanks for showing the upgrades. played airsoft for a while but never really looked into the internals of how this stuff works.

Interesting results. I used the solink 31k brushless with 8t solink DSG and guarder sp150 and am getting 350fps with 0.25g bbs @ 42RPS with 11.1v. Great video love seeing the builds
Well, this 35K motor was switched to "low" setting, which I think is 80% of full speed, so around 28K RPM. Thanks for the support, I'm glad you like the videos!

With all the upgrades one could choose a cheaper variant and save ~100$ Upgrade the spring to get 1.5J actually makes it more reliable and better accuracy with 0.28-0,32. We need better lipo though with more stable discharge rate.

True, this was more from the perspective of someone who already has an SSR9, I wanted to show what you can change, with an actual impact on performance. Not all these upgrades need to be made, it depends on each person, what they want to achieve. Peace of mind? Change tappet and piston, maybe ETU. Want faster response + ROF? Get the motor. Want better sound? shim it + helical gears :)) But yes, I agree, with a cheaper platform to start, you can do all these upgrades, plus a barrel + hop unit, and still be at 600$ or less.
do ypu have any stima of TPA for this motor? as it can be regulated by rpm and torque... i would like to know the posibilities of this
@@Fenrix666 i don't really get the question. The TPA is not relevant in a brushless motor. It will have the same torque at 15k and at 46k rpm

Does the arc shoot fast? I am a little confused on the speed of it when it is mechanical
@@Jacoby42069 it does not shoot full auto. It only has semi, will shoot as fast as you can
Won’t shoot as fast as a pneumatics lengine such as an f2 or Fe but it does the job
if youve tried a gate titan how does this compare? ive been looking for a cheaper option
@@_Godless 99% the same as the old, black Titan, but with bluetooth. The Titan 2 has more features, and the app is nicer to use, more polished. But functionality wise, it's almost identical.
their website says it requires an slp tank and anything over 550psi will damage the gun

Hi Dexter, i tried mine with and without the anti reverse, personally i find it smoother without but i cannot quantify it... again many thanks for the advice... Having to build gearboxes without the anti reverse is a god sent!

@@HikiZIMA if you end up changing to this, or any brushless motor, there will be no more heat. Period. Now, how much RPM, i have no idea, it all depends on: gear strength, spring used, piston weight etc. a 30k should be fine for most builds.

Did you test without the anti reverse latch when using the solink motor?
@@stingbeeg the red one i used is the budget, cheapest option they offer now, so it has no unidirectional bearing, no speed switch, and no speed programming.

@@stingbeeg you are confusing it with the "professional" version that is also red. That one is more expensive. The one i tested, if you follow the link in the description is the "standard" brushless motor, priced at 89.99$. You are talking about the professional one, priced at 129.99$

It's a regular 14ccw adapter

Hold on, this is custom made, when only the 6" version was available. I cut the front slide and outer barrel myself 2 years ago i think

Yellow maple leaf autobot bucking, and i bent the sear spring to get a better trigger feel

@@GIBStudios712 the stock bucking does not hold lightweight BBs properly, and i was playing 0.25gr. I will leave it up to you if you consider a bucking an "upgrade". Not even going to mention bending the stock spring, c'mon 😂

SSP5, less recoil, making followup shots easier. Also, because of the fixed barrel, accuracy was better.

Thank you! It's not 3d printed, it's a stock gearbox from a Double Eagle gun.
is the pulsar comparable to an f2?
If you set it up right, yes, it is. Also, bluetooth connection to the FCU is much better than the F2 board
