Doing my thing with as little interruption as possible.
75. Trash House. Plastering Mud walls with Lime and Sand Plaster, adding PVC pipe for outside shower
I bought my land in May of 2022 because buying an actual house felt impossible. I was inspired by my old boss, and now friend Doug. I was documenting his day-to-day as he build this amazing house in Sunrise Beach Village, TX. I put an offer on a piece of land in Spring Branch, Texas. I literally did zero research. I pretty much bought the first piece of land I found. I'm documenting the process for my mom.
I'm passionate about cleaning up the environment and doing my part to respect nature. I thought building.a house from recyclables and garbage, would be a fun experience. And just like that, I bought a hammer, and one of those saw thing-a-ma-jiggers.
My experience is limited to building basic sets for Actors in Los Angeles. This is my first time building anything that needs to survive an alien invasion. My only goal is to live inside my house before my dog dies. She's almost 15. I got her when she was nearly 10 weeks.

Is this near canyon lake ? Are you still there what’s the update
the plastering looks great, and the shower is gonna be niccceee. its really coming together 420/710
Getting there. Lol. Definitely learning a lot.
Get a proper trowel or do it with your hands dude I can't believe you are using a plastic spoon to smear lime on the walls.(But don't do it like at 4:04, you aren't patting your mate but. Do it as if you were applying sunscreen on a huuge ladys back. Take a handfull and smear it right to left in one uniform motion, flatening your hand as you go) Also lime works better if you give it a long time to hidrate, like a day, or a week even. Just make sure the lime mix in the bucket is completely covered by a layer of water. If you want a smooth finish on the second layer you can go over it with a sponge and water after letting it dry for around 15min to 1h, depending on how thick you put it on. I hope this helps even thoug I know it won't. See the look on that buddas face? Pure disapointment. Thats the exact same face im making right now. To end on a positive note I think it will end up looking pretty good. If I hadn't seen the whole building process I could be tricked into thinking you're a skilled dude that built a cool house. I also like that you are planting plants, you gained many points for that.
I rescued that Buddha from a dumpster in Austin.
@@MichaelValentino Nice, I'm sure he'll appreciate it. Maybe he started making that face because of the stench in the dumpster and it will change over time.
Sorry for being late. I bet you missed me. Dude it's crazy how long it takes you to slap each individual handfull of mud on the wall, no wonder it's taking you years to build this freaking anthill hut. And i'd add another 2 years if you plan on going over the whole thing at that speed with that tiny brush 2:46. On a positive note you can avoid what happened at 4:34 by using some sort of mesh or nailing a bunch of rope or whatever to the wood befor you throw mud on it.
It’s definitely taking a lot longer than I expected. It’s more like a free gym membership at this point.
You are excellence! Good job. Never stop!
Start over.
Lol. I did a few times already.
❤❤❤❤❤
Hey Mike! Not sure if you know who I am, but I think your lil bro could really use a phone call or something! Enjoy watching...... We'll come help!😊
Jesus
9:12 hahaha nice get rekt
i kept thinking fire and a steak any minute, all thru the second half. its coming along great, keep it up and you will reach your goal in no time 420/710
Can you adjust the drill clutch? Usually there are some numbers and you can set it so it will sink those screw heads in with more power and not just stop. On my drill it’s the collar that rotates around just above the drill chuck. Hose is coming along nicely. Gunna be super strong once you get it fully coated with mud.
Don't give him advice please. It will only confuse and anger him even more.
Thanks for the tip. I think I need a new drill. Near where the drillbit goes in has a small crack so it makes it difficult to keep the screw in sometimes.
@@tomasarana8450😂 all advice and tips welcomed.
Love your ingenuity!
Ha Ha funny monkeys use tools better than me my level is broken. Man shut the hell up, it's lame when you do it on purpose. I don't even know what that raft looking thing is suposed to be but I hope you useit to sail away into the horizon. If thats your floor height you wont be able to stand up straight. Even if you make the floor lower on the first room get ready to hit your head a million times on that beam.
So your putting outside garbage into your house
Not really, but you can say that considering most of the wood was donated or left over from a construction site. The bottles and cans will be covered.
*GREAT idea!*
And the views are way down? Whats up? Maybe you need to film more crew dog content! Haha! Great stuff always, man.
Your channel is definitely being hidden bro. Your last 3 videos, and shorts didn't show up in my feed.
I'm filming and editing for clients all week, so my brain is fried when it comes to my personal channel. And I don't really care. I make film and edit these for my mom to make her laugh. As @tomasarana8450 said, "thank you for watching, Please leave a like before you leave"
Didn’t he die in a phone booth talking to a lady??
Bruv I saw you buying those beams with a golden credit card. What I like most about this one is the skillfull use of all your power tools. If this is a parody you deserve some kind of award. I also love the last shot where you test the stability of the wall. Really cute. I watched that part like 10 times.
You have too much time on. your hand if you can talk trash about all this dudes videos. @tomasarana8450
@@johnhoffman9683 I do have lots of time. Isn't that great? Living the dream baby! I'm also this dudes biggest fan and I'll never miss a video and comment on it. If you did the same his views wouldn't be down. Comments help too, thank you for watching, leave a like before you leave.

Thanks! Great tip. Much appreciated.
Woah, dude, stop it with the negativity. Being retarded isn't a good reason to start talking about hooks and ropes. Cheer up bro, the power of positive thinking will surely hold up your shack
You’re right. What was I thinking. My hair is long and luxurious enough that I can use it in place of the rope.
@@MichaelValentino Sounds like a great idea. Hang by your hair 20 minutes every day while you think about the next step in the proyect. If it doesn't help smoothing out some of the kinks in your plans at least it will strengthen your skalp.
Mike Damone, was definitely the best character in the Fast Times and one of my favorites.

Lots of expensive equipment you have there. I've seen junkies build better houses using their fingernails as scredrivers.
Trick I use for putting a board up solo. That 2x6 you were having trouble hanging. Put a screw into the post you’re attaching your board to just below where you’re attaching it to. Both sides helps. Also, having a nail or screw already started in the board you’re attaching to the post helps too! Also, think a pick mattock would help with digging the rocks out easier. But I’m cheap too and use what I have on hand already lol.
Give up man. I've been trying to help this dude for months now, he is a hopeless case. I'ts almost like he prides himself in doing it wrong.
@@tomasarana8450 wrong is a matter of perception. People used to use grass for roofs. Is that wrong? I build with repurposed items all the time, because it’s cheap or free. Might be wrong to some, but works just fine for someone like me or Mike.
@@Frugalhomestead87 Ha. No you don't understand. Keep following Mikes videos and you'll see what I mean. I build with whatever I got too, thats not the issue at all. Ofc grass roofs arent wrong if you do them right. There are multiple right and wrong ways to do anything. Knowing this guy, he would just throw some lawn grass clippings on a flat osb roof and wrap it all with gaffer tape to hold it in place. Go check out the one where he tries to build a pipe for the oven that goes up and down the wall.
@@tomasarana8450 eh I’d rather just leave some tips here and there if I see them. He’s welcome to use them or not. Doesn’t bother me one way or the other.
@@Frugalhomestead87 Rather than what? Good tips by the way
Clamps would be a good investment. I’m always doing projects alone and need an extra hand somewhere.
I just got some. Game changer
❤nice job Bobo!!!
LMFAO
Wow you have made a ton of progress!
Clamp and screw the bastards
Use one nail from a neumatic nailer to hold it in place then either hammer it in with a 16 and your hammer or if you don’t want to shin the board or leave marks use a 3 1/2 screw there is different brand and styles but it will be your best bet don’t listen to anyone about soaking it in water
I frame houses for a living and this is how we do it for million dollar homes and for decks that cost less than 1,000 so I’m pretty sure you will be fine
Just put a screw in it'll straighten out
They came out with new tools called a clamp and screws
Yea soak them in water, for exactly 22.5hours, air dry them for 2, take a sander and sand off exactly 2mm, let them dry for another hour, them clamp them to a existing board, preferably one that's already straight, and lastly throw it in a fire and buy new ones, since you can so "easily"...
people have bent wood for furniture by boiling water and soaking it. you probably could correct the shape but structural its sound you just have to nail it.
There is a wood straighten tool at Lowes on sale....
Yeah lots of ways
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 please tell me your joking 😮
Clamps and water, then wait to dry
You like your wood straight and not gaay?
Just screw it in the 4x4 it will bend back
Use screws. They will pull it in
Ah nah
Yes, there is a way. But it's advanced magic. And I cannot divulge the information.??? Lol 😂. Peace ✌.
Ima a carpenter stack them up the higher he better the weight of the wood will straighten out by morning no need to wet it maybe put heavy weight on top of stacked pile
Steaming works great.
Yes, soak the wood in water for a day, then use vices and a straight surface to reshape the wood. Let it dry
@@zavvax awesome. Thank you. I just bought some clamps as well.
You can also wet the wood put it on a level floor and put heavy weights on each end and let it dry
Are you for real....... if this isn't a joke question both you and that dude need help
@@TheGreatMelinko that's why we ask on the internet Scooby
Dude your an asshole for this
If I remember right steaming the would and slowly over time putting pressure in the direction you want it to bend works
@@VascoHiro thank you. I don’t have electricity, but maybe I can figure that out. I just got some clamps so maybe that’ll work too. Thanks again.
Just what you need, a guy doing construction that can't tell a 2x4 from a 2x6.
Don’t be so negative. He just said he’s doing a recycling project, he’s using what he has.😐
